I don't believe I'll ever find the truth,
They've hidden it all too well . . .
Or maybe it never existed at all.
I don't believe anymore.
The days have grown hollowed and tired,
The guns and the deception have kept me far from finding her.
I don't believe I'll ever find her again,
I don't believe anymore.
The famine and the disease are destroying her.
Nothing I do, will stop it from happening,
Nothing I do, will stop her from dying.
I don't believe anymore.
They told me the lie was there for my sake,
And I believe them now.
My life has been a grand production of lies.
I don't believe anymore.
I don't believe in love or hope,
I can't believe in them,
A fool's dream is all they are.
I don't believe anymore.
I've taken sides for far too long.
Never knowing which side to join,
And alienating both sides in the end.
I don't believe anymore.
I never believed their hidden lies,
And all it's ever caused me is fear and pain.
It's easy to learn to believe a lie
When you've never known what the "truth" is.
I've seen the tortures, murders, rapes, and tears
I've seen them, I've felt them . . . I can believe in them,
But I've never seen unity, friendship, loyalties, or peace
I don't believe anymore.
They've taken so much from me,
I can't even believe in believing.
Everything that I've ever been sure of is gone.
I don't believe anymore.
Maybe the reason I don't believe anymore,
Is because I never believed to begin with.
I can't believe in anything
I don't believe . . . but I want to.
