Yeah, this is a side especially for MORTLAKE COMPILATION TAPE. This tape has been a "side thing" for the brothers in TEMPERANCE for a long time. Back in -93 B-häng (the drummer of TEMP) started up MORTLAKE PROJECT as he wanted to dedicate his work to the underground scene in different ways. The idea about a compilation tape popped up pretty fast, as TEMPERANCE were in contact with ALOT of underground bands already then. # 1 saw the light in the beginning of -94, and #2 followed after 6 month. Unfortunely TEMPERANCE started to steal too much time for B-häng so he simply decided to put it on ice (YOU LAZY BASTARD!!!!!). Fredde (TEMPS singer and guitarist) took over the whole buisness in-96 as B-häng had lost interest in the project. #3 was slowly put together and in -97 it hit the underground like a rock. # 4 is out since spring-99 and ># 5 & # 6 is already fullpacked with bands. Both # 5 & # 6 will be out during -99 (# 5 this summer and # 6 in the autumn).
New from # 6 of MORTLAKE COMP.TAPE will be a NEWSLETTER that will follow every release from then and on. The reason for that is that MORTLAKE PRODUCTIONS want to spread their help both deeper and more wide than before. This way the bands included on the tapes will get even more promotion and exposure. The newsletter will include: articles, information spots, web- and e-mail information, flyers, as well as a special featured interview for every single issue. The newsletter will both be released as a dubbel printed A-4 paper with small printing and in a web-version for you to check out on this site. More news about this matter will follow on this page later on, so make sure you dig in here from time to time!!!
