How to Get Your Name Off Telemarketing Lists
First of all, never, ever, ever, ever respond positively to any unsolicited call to your home. This means don't buy anything sold by telemarketers! Ever! To do so is tantamount to putting your name on a "hot" list or a "sucker list." Even if it's a good deal (isn't is always?), don't buy it! Don't donate either. Look the organization up yourself and write or call them, being sure to ask not to be placed on calling lists.
Further, register to be placed on prominent do not call lists. These are some of the best.
