Walhalla's Madame Butterfly CD, CGC

Fondly called Puppie, she came to us at the age of 4 from her German breeder. Marianne had to move to a nursing home and she was not going to be allowed to take her 2 Danes. She asked me if I could take them. Upon hearing about them, I could only take one - Puppie. She had been conceived in Germany and born in Canada. She was not socialized at all. She was frightened of traveling because she had never been anywhere except to the vets. After a few days at our home, she decided we weren't so bad. With plenty of love and attention, she blossomed into a loving dog who would do anything for you. She loved to travel, to meet people, to get out and do thing. She passed her CD with 3 shows and I never trained her. She watched me teach others and she would do exactly what I asked her to. She just KNEW what was wanted. She was a well-behaved girl, never stole, chewed, piddled... what have you. She went through bloat surgery and dog attacks from her pal, Amstel many times. She had a rough life looking at those times. Fortunately they were few. She succumbed to a combination of Hip Dysplasia, spinal degeneration and the medications needed to relieve the pain. She was 9 1/2 years old. Goodbye sweet Puppie. We will see you on the other side soon enough.
A beautiful Southern Magnolia tree was planted in her honor.
