URIAH WILSON
1824 - 1877

I have included this page on the Wilson's, even though I am not directly related to any of them by blood. Our FITZPATRICK and McCOY lines are so interlinked with the Wilson's through marriage, that we aren't at all sure where our line ends and their line begins. URIAH WILSON was born March 4, 1824 in Tennessee. He died January 4, 1877 in Dallas County, Arkansas. He served in the Confederate Infantry, CO. E, 12th Arkansas, from July 20, 1861 to October 1, 1862.

#1 Marriage to MARY ANN "Polly" NORTON. She was born in 1827. Uriah and Polly had the following children:

1) Mary E. b. October 19, 1844.
2) Martha Jane b February 28, 1847 and d. October 20, 1885
3) Henderson b. 1848 in Mississippi
4) McDonald b. 1849 in Arkansas
5) William Henry b. February 8, 1850 d. February 14, 1889. He married TALITHA CUMI FITZPATRICK on January 18, 1876, daughter of ELISHA H. and ANNA LONG FITZPATRICK.
6) Lafayette b. 1855
7) Rachel Emily b. 1854
8) Cordelia b. unknown.
9) Sarah Penelope b. December 24, 1859 d. December 23, 1905
10) Edward b. unknown -- married a woman possibly named Lowrey.
#2 Marriage to MARTHA MALINDA WRIGHT, October 31, 1869, daughter of JOHN RHEA WRIGHT and MALINDA BURFORD, of Dallas County, Arkansas. Martha was b. January 16, 1843 in Tennessee. She died January 28, 1878 in Dallas County, Arkansas. Uriah and Malinda had the following children:

1) Felix Elbert b. January 12, 1870 d. April 20, 1956
Felix married ANNIE ELIZABETH CHILDERS, on February 6, 1890, daughter of JOHN CARRON and OLIVIA FITZPATRICK CHILDERS. Granddaughter of ELISHA H. and ANNA LONG FITZPATRICK. They had 11 children. The picture below is Felix and Annie and several of their children.

2) Jasper Franklin b. April 4, 1871 d. May 30, 1955
3) Laura M. b. October 2, 1873 d. February 12, 1910
4) Malinda b. September 9, 1877 d. January 14, 1910
