By the mid 1970s with the decline of population in Ranger and
enrollment in the schools, it was determined that a new school
was needed with all grades essentially under one roof. A school
bond election was called and plans were made to build a new and
modern school complex located east of town. The work was completed
in time for the Class of 1978 to graduate from the new facility.
Before the old high school was torn down, the building next to
it used for the band was moved to the new campus as a weight room.
The school is located at 1842 Loop 254E, Ranger, TX 76470 (254-
