BARBARA ANN WALKER RUTLEDGER, 75, of
Ranger, TX passed away April 27, 2023.
Barbara was born Nov. 20, 1947 in Mississippi to
William Walker & Edna Edwards Walker. She graduated
from Texas A&M University with a Master's Degree.
She taught school at the Ranger ISD for many years.
She married John A. "Buzzy" Rutledge (RHS-1970) in
Feb. of 1983 in Ranger. He preceded her in death
on May 20, 2020. She was a member of the Mesquite &
Rusk Church of Christ. She loved animals, collecting
birdhouses and watching hummingbirds. She enjoyed
playing the piano.
Survivors include sons, Jeff Rutledge (RHS-1992) &
wife Wendy, John Rutledge (RHS-1999) & wife Shandy
(RHS-2000), & Ronny Rutledge (RHS-2002); 7 grand-
children, Katy Rutledge, Coy Rutledge, Ryan Gwinn,
Harley Gwinn, Sidney Rutledge, Jake Rutledge, and
Josh Rutledge.
