ODIS WAYNE PORIER, 77, longtime resident of Rockwall,
TX passed away on April 13, 2020.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1942, in Texarkana, TX, to Odis
Odell Porier & Miriam Margaret Thompson Knighton. He
married his wife, Judy in June of 1960, in Texarkana.
Odis loved to build remote control airplanes and wood
furniture. He was a talented handyman. Odis loved the
outdoors. His presence will be deeply missed.
Odis is survived by his daughters: Theresa Jones and
husband Punkie of Terrell, TX, and Debra K. Barr of
Garland, TX; grandsons: Rickey Johnson, Jeff Jones,
Matthew Johnson, and Zachary Johnson; granddaughters:
Amanda Carrizales and Erin Jones; sixteen great-grand-
children; sister: Darla Kay Featherson and husband
Steve of Little Rock, AR; brothers: Randy Porier and
Terry Porier; brother-in-law: Charles Steele and wife
Barbara of Wills Point, TX; and his running buddy:
Sharon Horton. He was preceded in death by his wife:
Judy Porier; sister: Cindy Wilcher; and his parents.
