ALVIN MINATREA, 75, of Garland, TX passed away April 5,
2019, with burial in the North Fairview Cemetery at
Wellington, TX.
He was born on July 9, 1943 in Wellington, TX to Willis
F. & Loraine I. Turner Minatrea. He graduated from Quail
High School in 1961 and married Linda Lesley in Feb. of
1969 in Memphis.
Alvin was a deputy sheriff for John Rainey in Collingsworth
County for several years. In 1974, he went to work for
Western Electric, now known as AT&T, in their security
department. Alvin was later promoted to Management
Associate of Security and Contract Services retiring
in 2002.
He served in the Texas National Guard for 6 years and
was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters
Wanda Manuel, Linda Williams and LaVerne Armstrong,
and a brother Floyd Minatrea.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Linda of Garland;
2 sisters Freida Hartman of Wellington and LaNell Doss
and her husband Ricky of Yorktown, TX and several nieces
and nephews.
