Bob Haffner ROBERT "BOB" EARLE HAFFNER, 80, was born in Hudson, CO on Aug. 19, 1935 & passed away on Feb. 5, 2016 with his loving wife by his side. Bob earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physics and math and his MBA degree. He was a brilliant physicist for Bell Labs, working on many special projects including the SAGE project commissioned by the U.S. military to install minuteman missiles around the perimeter of the U.S. & the Army’s long-range interceptor missile called the SPARTAN. He finished his career as a Department Chief at AT&T/Western Electric in Mesquite, TX. Bob became a follower of Christ at the age of 33. He was a generous and loving husband, father, & grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Dorothy Haffner; his brother Edward Haffner; and his children Michael & Nancy Haffner. Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years: Donna Lee Haffner; his son and daughter-in-law: Steven and Amy Haffner; and six grandchildren: Victoria Storm, Scott Haffner, Matthew Haffner, Laura Haffner, Allison Haffner, & Jackson Haffner; brothers: Cliff Haffner and Don Haffner and wife Wanda; brother-in-law Mark Davis & sister-in-law Michele Baldridge.
