WALTER ALLEN "BLUE" CLEMMENTS, 79, of Canton passed away Feb. 22, 2009 in Tyler. Burial was in in Haven of Memories, Canton, TX. Mr. Clemments was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Ben Wheeler to Enoch Elisha and Winnie Lorene Barton Clemments. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton. He was a retired military man after 20 years of service, serving four years in the Navy and 16 years in the Air Force, serving in the Korean War. He also retired after 20 years with AT&T. Walter was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Daphine Clemments; son, Martin O. Clemments; and sister, Katherine Teel. Surviving are wife, Earline Clemments of Canton; son and daughter- in-law, Dale and Judy Clemments of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Gary Myers of Rome, GA; daughter-in-law and husband, Rita and Randy Brooks; stepson and wife, Bill and Linda Woodruff of Fairfield; stepdaughter, Donna Oscepinski of Dumfries, VA; step-daughter and husband, Kathy and Bill Daniel of Mesquite; step-son and wife, Raymond and Charlcie Woodruff of Waco; brother, Archie Clemments of Rowlett; sister, Patsy Kearney of Mabank; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
