Dallas Works Memorial - Employees In Remembrance

DONALD ARTHUR BROWN went home to his Lord & Savior on March 21, 2006. His unwavering faith touched everyone he met during his valiant and courageous fight with cancer. Don was born on Sept. 10, 1940 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dallas. He is the son of Mae and Arthur Brown. He grew up in Pleasant Grove and attended area schools. Don served in the United States Navy as a young man. His tour of duty on the USS Saratoga enabled him to visit many countries. Don met his wife, Cherie of 44 years on a blind date. He and Cherie worked with the youth of Saint Marks United Methodist Church for years. Don worked in QR at the Dallas Works for many years. Don delighted in the time he spent with his daughter, Elyse, her husband Paul, grandchildren, Jordan, Dylan and Tanner Strangmeyer of Pleasanton, CA, his son Tim Brown and wife Cathy of Mascot, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Ruby Ouldhouse and Dorothy Almond.
