LEEROY GOMEZ died in 1985 and was in the Ranger
High School Class of 1982 at Ranger, TX. His mother
was Angelita Gomez & Elvera Gomez Taylor (RHS-1977)
was his sister.
MOTHER: ANGELITA HELEN CASTRO GOMEZ, 67 of Ranger,
TX passed away on Feb. 5, 2009, with burial in
Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger.
Helen was born on Feb. 19, 1940 in Ranger, to
Jose and Maria (Abanado) Castro. She grew up
in Ranger and married Roy F. Gomez in May of
1958, he preceded her in death on April 6, 1998.
Helen was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church.
Helen was preceded in death by a son LeeRoy Gomez
(RHS-1982), five brothers Manuel Castro, Victor
Castro, Marcus Castro, Frank Castro, Valetine
Castro, & a sister Julia Castro Acosta and a
grandson Justin Lee Jones.
At the time of her death, Helen was survived
by her children; Delores Gomez Jones (RHS-1976),
Elvera Gomez Taylor (RHS-1977), & Tammy Gomez
Hodnett (RHS-1985) & husband Heath all of Ranger.
A brother Joe Castro of Royce City, three sisters
Lupe Castro Rodgrizuez of Cedar Hill, Caroline
Castro Martinez and Rosa Castro Waltman both of
Ranger, two grandsons Michael Gomez and Halsten
Hodnett and great-grandson Michael Lee Roy Gomez.
Also numerous nieces & nephews.
