OSCAR HUTCHINS, 71, of Ranger, TX passed away on
May 14, 2021 in Abilene, TX. He was cremated at
his request.
He was born Feb. 20, 1950 in Dallas County to Walter
Sr. & Cathreen Hutchins. He was the youngest of 3
boys. Oscar attended Ranger High School in the
Class of 1971 for a short time. He was raised most
of his life in Ranger. He worked in the tire
business for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents & a brother,
Walter Hutchins, Jr. (RHS-1960).
Oscar is survived by brother, Alford (Patricia)
Hutchins (RHS-1966) of Seagoville, TX; ex-wife
and caregiver, Mary Hutchins; two step-daughters,
Sara Short (Ronnie), Mary Burger (Allen); 6 step-
grandchildren, William Short, Atlana Harris (Mason),
Allen Chatham, Jr. (Destiny), Courtney Sherman
(Daniel), Austin Chatham & Ashlie Larance (Kevin
Kidd); 8 step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces
and nephews; and extended family.
