CECIL LEWIS POUNDS, 38, died at a Dallas Hospital on
his birthday, Dec. 21, 1987, with interment in Evergreen
Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
Lewis was born in Ranger, Dec. 21, 1949 and graduated
from Ranger High School, attended Ranger Jr. College
& graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor's
degree. He moved to Dallas in 1985 from Houston. Lewis
was a business manager for the Institute of Religion in
Houston and business administrator for Spring Valley
United Methodist Church in Dallas.
Survivors at the time of his death include his parents,
Leonard (RHS-1929) and Daisy Una Woods (RHS-1937) Pounds
of Ranger; a daughter, Sarah Beth Pounds of Plano; two
brothers, Billy Bob Pounds of Fort Stockton and L.H.
Pounds (RHS-1965) of Plano; two sisters, Patty Jo Pounds
Callendar of Wichita Falls and Alice Pounds Gooch (RHS-
1961) of Big Lake; and his maternal grandmother, Una
Davenport Woods of Eastland.
