FRED RAY "FREDDIE" HARPER, 76, of Clyde, TX died Feb. 23,
2010 in Abilene, TX, with burial at the Clyde Cemetery.
Mr. Harper was born March 9, 1933, in Ranger, TX to George
& Annie Viola Kimmel (RHS-1928) Harper. He graduated from
Ranger High School in 1953. He married Alice Ruth Cole
(RHS-1952) in May of 1952 in Eastland. They came to Clyde
from Dublin in 1988. Freddie retired from the U.S. Army in
1975 after 20 years of service. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Harper is survived by his wife Alice Ruth; two daughters,
Janice A. Janosik of Abilene and Linda R. Harper of Clyde;
three brothers, Robert E. Harper (RHS-1948) of Pasadena,
Billy E. Harper (RHS-1951) of Abilene, and Tommy J. Harper
(RHS-1954) of Waco; one sister, Barbara Jane Thompson (RHS-
1956) of Gentry, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Nikki Ruthann
Harper and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one son, James R. Harper and one
sister Marie Harper Boney (RHS-1947).
