Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1952

Doris Box DORIS LAVONNE BOX FENDER HAYS, 83, of Sachse, TX passed away peacefully on June 27, 2017 surrounded by her loving family, with burial in the Sachse Cemetery. She was a long time Sachse resident. Doris was born on Nov. 19, 1933 in Rice, TX to Norman Ray & Viola Young Box. She attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1952 at Ranger, TX and in 1978 married Joseph F. Hays who died in 1998. Doris had a green thumb and loved to garden and to tend to her flowers. Doris is survived by her sons Donnie and Gail Fender of Simpson, LA, Ronnie and Sue Fender of Dallas and a daughter, Deborah and Mark Rueter of Sachse. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grand- children and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Her sisters were Leona Box Hardy (RHS-1952) and Viola Farene Box Stephenson Stone (RHS-1958). DAUGHTER: DEBORAH MAE FENDER RUETER, 64, passing away after a sustained 33 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer, on June 28, 2019, with interment at the Sachse Cemetery in Sachse, TX. Deborah was born in Ranger, TX to Errett and Doris Box (RHS-1952) Fender. She served as a dutiful accountant at multiple firms in the Dallas area. Deborah was an avid reader, loved puzzles and number games. She was ferociously loyal to her family especially her children and children-in-law. Deborah will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Mark, an their children Bradley (Amanda), Lindsey (Patrick), and her two grandchildren. Deborah will also be fondly remembered by her brothers Donnie (Gail) Fender, and Ronnie (Sue) Fender, and numerous nieces and nephews. Deborah was predeceased by her father Errett Fender, Jr, her mother Doris Fender Hays, and her step-father Joseph Hays.
