BARBARA JEAN CARROLL CUNNINGHAM, 40, of Lubbock,
TX died in 1971. She was born in Ranger, TX on Oct. 30,
1930, the daughter of Alta Mae Beck and Harvey Earl
Carroll. She attended Ranger High School in the
Class of 1948 & married her high school sweetheart,
Maxie Cunningham (RJC). They had two children Shiela
and Rick.
MOTHER: ALTA MAE BECK CARROLL, 93 went to be with
her Lord in Heaven on Feb. 2, 2005, with burial at
Merriman Cemetery near Ranger TX.
Alta was born on Oct. 6, 1911 to George and Katie
Beck in Ranger, TX. She married her loving husband,
Harvey E. Carroll at Ranger in 1927. She gave
birth to five children, all born in Ranger. She
was a faithful member of the Church of Christ until
her death.
She moved to Granbury, TX, to be closer to her family
when she was 83.
Alta is predeceased by her husband, Harvey, daughter,
Barbara Carroll Cunningham (RHS-1948) & five brothers:
Andrew, Charlie, Arthur Beck, Reuben, and Lloyd Beck
(RHS-1941).
Survivors at the time of her death are sons Donnie
Carroll (RHS-1945) and wife Connie of Granbury;
Norman Carroll (RHS-1962) and wife Gail of Hurst;
and daughters, Sue Carroll Wiggins (RHS-1954) and
husband Don of Granbury; Linda Cross (RHS-1959) &
husband Gerald of Granbury; 14 grandchildren and
21 great-grandchildren.
