Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1946

Floyd Caraway FLOYD EARL CARAWAY, 74, of Ranger, TX passed away on Aug. 22, 2002, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger. Mr. Caraway was born in Ranger, TX, on Jan. 8, 1928 to W.O. and Mary (Crawford) Caraway. He was a graduate of Ranger High School. He married Bennye Berryhill in January of 1946 in Lamesa, TX. Floyd owned and operated Caraway Auto Parts from 1954 until he retired because of health reasons. He was a member of the Ranger Masonic Lodge AF and AM #738, Eastland County Antique Car Club a charter member, and served on the Eastland Water Board for several years. Floyd was a charter member of the Ranger Historical Preser- vation Society and a member of the Second Baptist Church. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and antique cars. Mr. Caraway is survived by his wife, Bennye Caraway of Ranger; grandson, Eric Marshall; and great-grand- daughter, Makla Marshall. He was preceded in death by his son, Floyd Irlan Caraway on June 12, 2002. WIFE: BENNYE CARAWAY, 78, passed away May 7, 2007 in Abilene, TX, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger. She was the treasurer of the Ranger Historical Preservation Society. SON: FLOYD IRLAN CARAWAY, 50, passed away on June 12, 2002 in Ranger, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger. Mr. Caraway was born on August 7, 1951 to Floyd Earl and Bennye R. (Berryhill) Caraway. He attended school in Ranger and Olden, and was affiliated with the Second Baptist Church in Ranger. He worked at the family business, Caraway Auto Parts. At the time of his death, Mr. Caraway's survivors include his parents, Floyd and Bennye Caraway of Ranger; one son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Cynthia Marshall of Abilene; one granddaughter, Makala Marshall of Abilene; two special aunts, Wanda Porter of Ranger and Annie Doorman of Mabank; and numerous nieces and nephews.
