EVELYN SHELTON CLEMENTS, 61, of West Plains,
MO, formerly of Ranger, TX, died on Jan. 17, 1989,
with burial in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Plains,
MO.
Mrs. Clements was born March 10, 1927, in Rule,
TX, the daughter of John Lewis and Jewell Edna
Bryant Shelton.
She was a graduate of Ranger High School and a
member of the Ranger Exes Association. She was
married in March of 1951, at Mineral Wells, TX,
to Lindsey Clements, formerly of Morton Valley,
TX. She was a member of the First Baptist
Church of West Plains, MO. Mrs. Clements had
worked at the Carter Funeral Home for 23 years,
having been a licensed funeral director for 10
years.
Survivors at the time of her death include her
husband, Lindsey Clements, West Plains, MO.; two
children, Janice Ann Lindley, Alamogordo, NM,
and Cynthia Gaile Romans, Moscow, ID; and five
grandsons, Rhett Miller, Eastland, TX, Airman
First Class Douglas Miller, Holoman Air Force
Base, Alamogordo, NM, James Miller, Thomasville,
MO, and Travis and Dustin Romans, Moscow, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one
brother, John Lewis Shelton, Jr.
