MAXINE SHARP NORRIS, 73, of Ranger, TX died June 12,
2001 at Fort Worth, with burial in the Evergreen
Cemetery at Ranger.
Mrs. Norris was born on Dec. 21, 1927 in Olden, TX,
to Curtis & Dessie (Hamilton) Sharp. She attended
school in Ranger including Ranger High School in
the Class of 1944 & grew up there. Maxine married
George Norris in Aug. of 1946 in Chickasha, OK. He
preceded her in death in 1984. She followed her
husband all over with the oilfield traveling to
many different areas. She was a member of the
First Baptist Church in Ranger and a housewife.
Survivors at the time of her death were two children,
George Norris of Weatherford & Ginger King of Ranger;
one brother, Jerry Sharp of Strawn; three sisters,
Shirley Sharp Gentry (RHS-1958) of Ranger, Clara
Sharp Houx (RHS-1949) of Fort Worth and Kathy Sharp
Herrington (RHS-1968) of Abilene; grandsons, Sha King
of Stephenville, Coleman Norris of Weatherford & Adam
Norris of Georgia; granddaughter, Jennifer DeLa Torree
of Ranger; great-granddaughter, Destinee King of
Stephenville; and many nieces and nephews.
