MAXINE FONVILLE CONNER VANN, 77, of Ranger, TX
passed away on July 31, 2003 in Abilene, TX, with
burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX.
Mrs. Vann was born on Nov. 26, 1925, in Desdemona, TX,
the daughter of Elsie Annie Wooton and J.H. Fonville.
She was a 1943 graduate of Ranger High School and a
member of the First Baptist Church of Ranger. She was
an LVN and worked at Ranger General Hospital and the
Western Manor Nursing Home. She married Richard Vann
in October of 1998 in Weatherford.
At the time of her death, Mrs. Vann was survived by
her husband, Richard Vann of Ranger; sons, Stephen T.
Conner (RHS-1970) of Houston and David H. Conner (RHS-
1975) and wife Tawana of Ranger; grandson, Stephen T.
Conner, Jr. and wife Vanessa of Cleburne; and great-
grandchildren, Shawn and Victoria Conner of Cleburne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother,
Harvey Fonville; and a grandson, Mark Wayne Conner.
