Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1942 RJC

Allen Ussery ALLEN ANDREW USSERY, 79, passed away on Dec. 4, 2002, with interment at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston, TX. He was born on February 28, 1923 in Ranger, TX. He served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He entered the service in 1942, and underwent training at Fort Bliss, Kearns, UT, Salt Lake City Air Base and Pyote Army Air Base. Prior to entering the service he was employed by the Lone Star Gas Company in Ranger. Mr. Ussery retired in 1987 after almost 39 years with the Metro Transit Authority as a bus driver. At the time of his death, he was survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Olga, his daughters; Lynda K. Hersey and Martha A. Krause; son John A. Ussery; two sisters, Frances Brantley (RHS-1938) of Houston, TX and Leola Mathis (RHS-1946) of Stephenville, TX; two aunts, Kate Stucker and Edna Cox of Ranger; and four grandchildren. His brother was Lonnie Ussery (RHS-1944).
