GLENNIE BLANKENSHIP CAIN, 89, of Stanton,
TX died on May 11, 2011, with interment was at
Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX.
She was born on March 22, 1922, in Ranger, TX,
and attended Ranger High School in the Class of
1939 & married Herman O. Cain in June of 1941 at
Wink, TX. He preceded her in death on April 25,
1988. She and her husband owned and operated
Cain's Body Shop from 1949 until 1980. Glennie
loved her grandchildren, her church and read her
bible every day. She was a member of First Baptist
Church of Stanton.
Survivors at the time of her death, include two
sons and daughters-in-law, Butch and Vallene Cain
of Stanton and Harold and Natrell Cain of Monahans;
one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and James Mashburn
of Stanton; five grandchildren, Wayne Cain, Barry
Cain and wife, Ashley, Brian Cain and wife, Brandi,
Christopher Cain and wife, Tamara, and Donna Webb
and husband, Cory Webb; & eight great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one
grandson, David Mashburn; one brother; & six sisters.
Her sister was Vesta Blankenship Bush (RHS-1932).
