HAVARD BURNETT MURPHY, 88, died on Jan. 10,
2009 at Homeland, CA.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1920. Havard was in the Ranger
High School Class of 1939 at Ranger, TX. He was first
married to Gladys Hayes, now deceased, and they had
three children, Debbie, Ray & Mark. He later married
Betty L. (White) Perry who had three sons by a previous
marriage, Jody, Steven and Jahn. Harvard attended
Hardin Simmons University but left to join the USAF
(US Army Air Corps at the time) and retired after
28 years service as a Lieutenant Colonel. His
sister was Betty Brock who lives at Austin, TX.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife,
Betty L. Murphy, his children and his sister.
