DURWOOD L. BUSH, 88, died July 9, 2005 in
Borger, TX, with burial in the Garden of Love at
Westlawn Memorial Park in Borger.
He was born June 19, 1917, in Cisco, TX the son
of Elizabeth Elton Shelton & Thomas Leonidas
Bush, & grew up in Ranger, TX graduating from
Ranger High School in 1936.
He had been a resident of Fritch since 1982,
moving from Phillips where he was a supervisor
for Phillips Petroleum Company for 38 years.
He was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church.
He married Geneva Walker (RHS-1941) in Dec. of
1937, in Ranger. She was born in 1921 and
and preceded him in death in 2003.
Survivors include a son, Larry D. Bush of Fritch,
two brothers, Ronald Bush (RHS-1955) of Fritch
& T.L. Bush (RHS-1951) of Fort Worth, two sisters,
Bernice Walthall of Ponca City, OK, & Audrey Bush
Rose (RHS-1940) of Ranger; two grandchildren, Chad
Bush & Sharra Karrh; three great-grandchildren and
one sister-in-law, Opal Rogers of Ranger.
