WILLIAM ELTON MITCHELL JR., 62, died Jan. 31,
1973 in Gladewater, TX, with burial there. He was
born on Aug. 6, 1910 in Gold, OK to William E. and
Mary Buckley Mitchell. Elton attended Ranger High
School in the Class of 1927 at Ranger, TX & married
Dorothy Calvert who died in 2007. Their children
were Barbara Mitchell, Larry Mitchell, and Joy E.
Mitchell. His siblings were Verner Mitchel (RHS-
1924), Olga Mitchell (RHS-1927), & Reuben Mitchell
- all are deceased.
