Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1925

Willie Clark Russell WILLIE RUTH "BILL" CLARK RUSSELL, 98, a longtime Duncan resident, died in her home on April 30, 2007, after a long illness, with interment in Snyder, TX. Willie was born on Oct. 8, 1908 in Gail, TX to William Alexander & Julia Griffith Clark. She attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1925 at Ranger, TX and married Kenneth Roy Russell (RHS-1925) in Eastland, TX. He preceded her in death in 1970. Willie was a member of First Christian Church, joining in the early 1930s. She was a serious student of the Bible and believed in the importance and value of Christian education. She was truly a servant of God and lived her faith each and every day. Survivors include sons, John W. "Jack" Russell and wife Sandy of Vivian, LA, Dr. Kenneth R. Russell and wife Shirley of Jacksboro, Texas, and Robert Walker "Bob" Russell & wife Pat of Duncan; a daughter, Norma Jean Thomson and husband Bill of Duncan; 12 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 26 great-grand- children; three great-great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in death by a baby daughter, Betty Mae; her parents; and three sisters and their husbands. Her sister was Edna Clark Miller (RHS-1923).
