NATIVE AMERICAN INDIANS

Indians came to Texas about 13,000 B.C.
The experts say the Native American Indians walked across the land bridge from Asia to North America. They traveled from the North and finally some ended up in Texas.
The Native Americans of Texas were very numerous and quite different from each other.
The Comanche and Apache Indians were known for being fierce and skilled fighters.
The Cherokee had their own written language.
The Karankawa lived on and off the coast.
The Comanche conquered the horse and became the most fierce of all Indians.
The Apache were fierce and roamed West Texas
Disease killed the biggest part of these Indians and the Europeans killed off most of those that remained.
Few of the Native American Nations of Texas still survive
