(Page 24, panel 1. Cissie closes the closet door.)
Cissie: I've decided to put the decision off until I'm 18.
Robin: Are you sure about this?
(Panel 2. Cissie turns back to Robin.)
Cissie: Yes. I'd like to finish my education before I make any serious decisions about my life.
Quickshot: I understand, mom. I hope you will make the right decision then.
(Panel 3. Cissie smiles slightly.)
Cissie: I'm sure I will.
(Panel 4. Quickshot walks out of the room.)
Quickshot: I guess I'll have to travel to that time then. Well, I'll see you in the future…
(Page 25, panel 1. Later on, Bonnie and Frank are walking out of the building.)
Frank: Ah, the world has lost a good model today.
Bonnie: Yea…
(Panel 2. Frank turns to Bonnie.)
Frank: I detect a bit of sadness in your voice.
Bonnie: To tell the truth, I wanted her to become a heroine again, and keep the family tradition alive.
(Panel 3. Frank smiles slightly.)
Frank: Well, all you have to do is just wait, Bonnie. I'm sure she'll make the right choices in the end.
(Panel 4. Focus on Bonnie's face.)
Bonnie: That's what I'm afraid of.
(Page 26, panel 1. Epilogue. In the future, Cissie is now 18, and celebrating with her friends. They are at a birthday party for her. Among the people present are the members of Young Justice, Traya, Red Tornado, Bonnie King-Jones, Principal Foster, and a few others. Bonnie and Principal Foster hold up a large cake with two candles on the cake in the shape of the number 18. The icing on the cake reads "Happy Birthday Cissie." Cissie is at the head of the table, and a cane is near her.)
Cap (N1): Epilogue.
Cap (N2): In the future, an 18-year-old Cissie King-Jones has her birthday party.
Cap (N3): Here she will decide what she wants to do with her life.
Cissie: Thank you, everyone.
(Panel 2. Bonnie and Principal Foster present the cake to Cissie.)
Cissie: Well, I don't know what to say… all of you have been so good to me for these last few years… I feel honored to have friends like you.
(Panel 3. Cissie blows out the candle as Quickshot appears behind her from a time teleportation.)
Superboy: Aw, nerts! Not some idiot who is wanting to attack us again!
(Panel 4. The members of Young Justice ready themselves for an attack as the vortex vanishes, leaving Quickshot there.)
Quickshot: Well, this should be her 18th birthday.
Robin: Stand down, let's see what she wants.
(Page 27, panel 1. Quickshot approaches Cissie.)
Quickshot: Mom! So have you decided on what you want to be yet?
Cissie: Do I know you?
(Panel 2. Quickshot is close to Cissie, making Cissie nervous.)
Quickshot: Of course you do! It's me, your daughter Delia, do you remember? About 5 years ago, you said you were going to wait and decide whether you want to be a heroine or a model.
Cissie: Hmm… yea. I remember now.
(Panel 3. Cissie picks up the cane, and uses it to walk away from Delia.)
Cissie: A lot has happened since then Delia. I'm afraid one of my legs had to be amputated because of an attack I suffered two years ago. I'm sorry, but I can't be a heroine or a model.
Quickshot: Oh no…
(Panel 4. Impulse goes up to Cissie's side, helping her stand up.)
Impulse: But Cissie and I have grown closer to each other ever since then, Delia. If we do marry, I'm sure we'll name our first daughter Delia.
Quickshot: Well that's good to know.
