Email addresses are optional. Email me Here or at the bottom. I hope this page will soon have many stories on it. This Page may take a while to load (there is a large graphic on it) please be patient. The first story has been submitted by my best friend Meg: Hi my name is Meg and I am 13. I have a horse named Amy, in the summer I decided to take her to a riding clinic. She was great! the day the clinic ended was my birthday. I loaded Amy into the trailer and we began driving home. NOthing seemed out of the ordinary, I was borrowing my intructor's trailer for the clinic. When the trailer and car stopped behind the barn I got out and went to open the haynet door. There stood my horse bleeding from a large gash in her head and quivering with fear. I started to scream at my Mother to come and see; I was mortified! I quickly undid her lead rope and opened the back ramp on the trailer. There waiting for me was another surprise, the divider between the two stalls in the trailer had fallen on her back during the ride home! She was practically sitting on her hind end. My Father, Mother and four other people struggled to get the divider off her. I was so scared for my horses life. Finally the weight was off, I got her out of the trailer and she was covered in blood. Her grey coat could not be seen at all. My Mom quickly called the vet as soon as she got to the barn, the wait was long and frustrating. I could not stop the bleeding. Finally the vet arrived and checked her over. All in all she had a ouncture wound on her forehead, a slightly fractured skull and a concussion. I was in tears when the vet told me my horse could have died! My parents stayed at the barn all night but I was forced to go home. My poor horse..... that was a birthday I shall not forget! Today my horse is completely healed and recovered. It is still alot of work to get her into a trailer. But all that matters is that we're together! Submitted By : Meg
