Driver - Rick Grindstaff

Driver Bio - Rick is currently a participant in the Southwest Jr Fuel Association with the current Chassis. He has a new Chassis in the works that will covered in an all aluminum chute pack body. If you guys remember the fuelers of old, you can appreciate the looks he will be achieving. The new car is 185 " WB with a design resembling a 1969 Don Long Top Fuel car. The body design is still up in the air, but stay tuned for shows up out the Grindstaff Racecraft fabrication shop.

Rick and Tina are both airline Pilots with Southwest Airlines. They both enjoy racing the nostalgia series so much, they decided to launch TBFA. They enlisted the help of Chris Graves and Keith Breazeal to launch a fun race series. They have seen racing budgets skyrocket over the years due to classes going faster and faster. The idea of TBFA is to go fast, but have reasonable costs associated with Drag Racing.

TBFA was established with this purpose in mind. The other motive behind TBFA is for community outreach. We are believers in helping folks less fortunate than ourselves and want to give back something to the community. We will be donating any left over proceeds to the Shriners Burn Hospitals. They treat children with critical care needs at no cost to the families. We are also asking our track operators to get into the spirit of giving by donating small portions of the gate proceeds to the Shriners Burn Hospitals also. We can truly make a difference in kids lives and have a blast doing it.
