Trinity Christian Center Drama Team

This page is dedicated to my drama team here at Trinity Christian Center. it will give you updates of our outreaches, and then I will try to describe exactly what our mission statement is.

The Trinity Christian Center Drama Team Recently went to a Nationals Competition in Joplin Missouri for the Pentacostal Chruch of God Nationals Teen Talent Expo. It was a grueling 15 hour road trip in a small 25 passenger bus carrying 20 people, luggage, and props. The air conditioning was not functioning to full capacity, and people were crammed in two to a seat. By the time we got to Joplin, the whole mess of us were hot, sticky, and tired. We went to our rooms, put out luggage up, and then immediately went out for dinner. The first night none of us got much sleep, becuase we were too excited to be there. The next day we got up early (9:00 a.m.) and headed out to see the most beautiful place I've seen in a long time, we went to the Precious Moments Chapel. There we saw many different works of art done by a man named Sam Butcher. He is the man that originally created the precious moments drawings for his children. They became so popular that it moved into greater proportions and is now known all over the nation and maybe even across the Globe. After that, just to make the guys happy, we drove for another hour in the hot bus to go to the Bass Pro Shop, it was great, every outdoor tool, toy, and pice of clothing you could ever wish for. we got back to our hotel about 3:00 that afternoon, nad went and rested for a while, then we had a prayer meeting in the hotel lobby, later that night there was a meeting followed by a banquet for all of the contestants. We were up again all night. Finally, the day came, it was around lunchtime when our group was told we would be onstage, so we prepared ourselves, we put on our costumes, our makeup, very thick makeup I might add, and sat and waited, and waited, and waited. It wasn't until after dinner, around 8:00 that night that we finally got our chance to perform, before we went on stage, we prayed for a while, then went on, we went out there and did our best for God and walked off that stage while the crowd gave the only full standing ovation that night. We knew then that God had been preparing us for that day, we had spent weeks and weeks in preperation for that night, for that moment, just to walk up on stage, and show those people the love of Christ and the talents that God can give. It was a night of triumph for our whole group, and for each and every one of us it was a personal victory in the battle against satan. We waited for a little while, they were doing the awards ceremony immediately after the last performance. When the announcer started calling out the Human Video Category winners, he called the third place team first, it wasn't us, my heart dropped for a moment, then it raised back up thinking that we were lucky enough to gain second. The announcer called out the second place winners, and it wasn't us either, my heart dropped, we hadn't even placed, then the announcer started saying the first place winners, and before he could finish saying the name of our group, "Trinity Christian Center Drama Team" there was such an uproar that I could not hear anything else said by the announcer. We all got up and went up to the stage to recieve our award, it was a glorious time for all of us, as we know that God had given us an annointing strong enough to be called number one in the nation out of the groups that competed! It may have been hard grueling work, just to get to where we were that night, but it was worth it, we believed that God would reward our persistence and our faith, and he did in a grand way.
