Southern Flying Squirrel
Glaucomys volans

Size: 3 to 4 inches body length with a tail about 6 inches long, weighing between 2 and 4 ounces
Housing: Large aquarium (30+ gallons) with screen lid and lots of branches or all metal wire mesh cage, at least 3 feet tall by 2 feet wide by 1 foot deep
Food: nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables, insects and sometimes small vertebrates
Lifespan: 10 to 13 years
Special Needs/Habits: Nocturnal. Needs a calcium/vitamin D3 supplement.
