1. Write a Report on something you know a lot about.
2. Create a Webpage offering your report for free. Everybody wants something free. This will help to get your site a lot of exposure.
3. Find a product or products you will get paid for advertising. Not everything on the Net is good, but the ones I've provided on this site are very good.
4. Contact these companies and sign-on.
5. Then place their banners or links on your pages.
6. Register your site with as many search engines and directories as possible!
7. Then EVERY DAY, post 15 or more classified ads on the Internet. Now, this is the hard part - step 6 and 7 - tedious and time-consuming - and the most important part of the whole thing. Why? People won't come to your site otherwise. This is where the patience and discipline come in. If you're not willing to do these simple but aggravating things, you won't make a success of it. If you do, you will succeed!!

The first thing for you to do is to forget all the hype. Just do good honest work. Make a website that is well organized, neat and visually attractive (looks good). Right? This is one place where it really pays to pull out that rarely used dictionary and check your spelling. Use a grammar checker or somebody who knows good grammar to check your work. Why? Because all kinds of people from every walk of life (hopefully) are going to see your website. They're not going to take you seriously if they think you don't.

Now is the time to get established on the Internet. Anyone who positions himself/herself well on the web today is going to be in a very secure place in the future. Indeed! Just consider how much the Internet has grown in only ten years and how very quickly it continues to grow every month. New businesses are starting up every day. I often hear it said that the only people making any "real" money on the Internet are the pornographers. This isn't true so don't believe it. It just appears that way because the whole area of communication via an electronic network we call the World Wide Web is so new. But as we become more familiar with it and big business adds greater direction and a sense of stability to it, it will become easier for the small business person to do well on the Web.
