Na Crainne (The Trees) - Bruce V. Bracken's All-Purpose Poetry Thing

I walk along the road
By the midnight growth
The trees punish me tonight with their eyes
A gauntlet of cold, angry light

It's a discipline
Na crainne, na crainne, na crainne
Fundamental weight
Na crainne, na crainne, na crainne
It's a discipline
Na crainne, na crainne, na crainne
Necessary fear
Na crainne, na crainne, na crainne

Through the thousands of years
Unfound, but buried in our brains
The trees tear us asunder
Chastising our hubris

It's a discipline
Na crainne, na crainne, na crainne
Fundamental weight
It's a discipline
Na crainne, na crainne, na crainne
Necessary fear
Na crainne, na crainne, na crainne
