A Day at Mirror River

Mirror River at Dawn

Dawn's light
(awake)
Breathing silent through ice cold tendrils of fog,
and rivers stand still;
and mist glides
(ease, such ease)
amidst the frigid stillness,
..with brazen dawn;
the mirror river stops
as dawn continues
to start
to contemplate,
an ascention.

Mirror River in Noontide

Alas, move-
speediness elite graced thee
(perhaps with average fervor)
a Mirror River picked up
and verdant emerald strands
waved to the heavens
(without choice, moved by the cold zephyr)
Immaculate
utter these words unto the Mirror River
and shatter their meaning;
voiceless thoughts
dared not speak, so as not to shatter
(or begin to shatter)
Flawless waters' travel,
long, gracious
into the eve, blessed
(omnipotent)

Mirror River into the Eve

O, settled be thy wings
the owl lies, waking, waiting for it's turn
and all grows half-light,
(stillness overtook, swiftly, like the promise of dawn)
The grass, each blade upon the banks,
bows their heads,
as if in prayer
and sleep like the seraphs of heaven
(dreaming blissfully)
And the Mirror River slows,
(even slower)
gives dual image of the sky above
(vermillion, sunfire, cornflower, violet)
rippling wildly (mildly) madly;
all waits for night--
and the goddess of fire smiles down one last time.

Mirror River for Mother Luna

Celestial Gods, O glorious angels
glittered and shone
(cold, sterile, white, distant)
and Mother Luna grew glutton
to seeing herself
(her face)
in the Mirror River
she pulled (pulls) it still,
for a better look,
and silences all,
so she may bask in herself;
and kissed each blade of grass upon the banks
(on their sleeping foreheads)
Poor Mother Luna,
too vain to see
she brings cold with her turn,
and stillness--
... Until Morning is fast upon her Mirror River
