Level Design:I've heard people say that they are not creative, or they lack that certain spark of insite that would propell them into creativity. I think most of us are creative though. I would be willing to bet that all of us walk around with ideas in our head, thoughts of how we could improve products we use or how we might invent a better mouse trap. I have a feeling that what separates the adverage person from an "inventor" is that one actually sees his invention materialize. |

| Level design isn't any different. Everyone who's played a multiplayer game is sure to have at least thought of some way to improve a level. It all starts with an idea. For me the next step is to make a sketch. Then brain storm about all the possible ideas that I could link to the main theme. I've found that it's best to do so, or else the possibilities are endless when we site down in front of a computer. We might start out with an Aztec temple and finish with a urban lanscape. | ![]() |

The next step is actually making the level. First the basic layout, then revising it. Then interactive aspects ( doors, buttons, etc .). Next texture and lighting, and then a final testing. I've found that inpute from others is a great way to break a creative slump. |
