The Queen Bee of BCM, Dr. Debbie DuFrene :o(
"Very Fair teacher. Expected you to work, tests are tricky but not impossible. Nice lady, but expect to hustle for whatever grade you get in her class." -Student- Grade: A
"This is the hardest 200 level class known to man-or woman. Expect to work extremely hard for a decent grade. You also have numerous assignments due all the time, and a 6 week research project that makes or breaks you. Don't take this class if you have a heavy load--in the end, she is fair and gives bonus points, but she has no mercy for slackers. If you don't go to class your grade drops also. Be aware if you take this class." -Student- Grade: A
"She is a very smart woman who really knows what she is talking about. She seems hard, but it you just have patience and listen to her in class, you will do fine. Of all the college professors I've had, she seems to be the most fair. I would strongly recommend her if you're not planning on slacking off!!." -Student- Grade: B
"She is WONDERFUL!!!! Take her if you have the option. She expects you to do the work and keep up with assignments, but how else will you learn? Attend class everyday and participate in class discussion. She likes it if you read ahead and answer or ask questions in class. This is not a blow off class but it really isn't that difficult with her. She has wonderful overhead transparencies that you can take wonderful notes from. She gives you plenty of time and help when you have work to hand in. I hope many other students appreciate and enjoy her and the class." -Student- Grade: A [Editor's Note:For the record, we think Dr. Dufrene submitted this one about herself!]
"Ok! Here's the story! He's weird and a perfectionist, but he's very friendly and easy to get along with. You have to go to class with him, and you have to force him to take your homework as he rarely asks for it, but will still give you a zero. He grades really easy, though...Gives the test over his lectures which makes them easy, and gives enough assignments that you could probably fail all the tests and still do allright.I'd definitly take him over again." -Student- Grade: A
"Perhaps the most useful, entertaining and interesting course of my collegiate career. You will learn so much about yourself and others as well. The grade is based highly on participation, which is one of the many lessons of the course. The more you invest in people, work, and activities, the more you will get out. Highly recommened." -Student- Grade: A
"Wow, a teacher who cares! What a concept. This could be the most memorable class of my college career. Memorize the outline in the book and the "A" is your's for the taking. Fail to memorize the outline and enjoy your "C"." -Student- Grade: C
