Slick Shift 5 Speed

Chrome Horse USA made transmission case cast in CNC machined permanent molds
from A356 aluminum and hardened to T6 specifications, then fully machined on
state of the art Mazak FH Horizontal Machining Center.

Chrome Horse polished billet trap door machined from 6061-T651 aluminum.

2.94:1 1st gear on all 5 speed models provide close ratio shifting into 2nd gear.

The shafts are 8620 with a case hardness to .070 depth; the cores are 35-38 HRC.

Transmission gears are all back cut, made from high nickle, chromemoly steel,
with lead-in ramps machined for better shifting.
