**1 YEAR IN MICHOACAN, MEXICO**

I lived as a volunteer in an orphanage in Tacámbaro, Michoácan from July 1995-July 1996. I lived with approximately 40 children and 5 nuns from the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Before I went to Tacámbaro, I attended BADEN POWELL Institute to learn Spanish. I had a great time at the school and remain in contact with the friends I made there.

LIFE AFTER MEXICO

In July 1996, I returned to my house in Michigan, the state where I was born. I spent only 10 months there before my family and I moved to Plano, Texas where I lived for 3.5 years. I have since relocated to Arizona.

I miss my friends from Tacámbaro and throughout all of México. We remain in contact through traditional mail since very few people have access to e-mail down there.
