The Weyr

As you enter the lair, the bare walls disappear, only to be replaced by walls of flowing lava. Your eyes open wide in fear and you turn to run, only to find Koddragon blocking your way with an amused expression on his scaly face. You quickly realize that it must be his magic keeping you from being incinerated. You see a winged creature lying in the middle of the room. Also you note scatered about the lair, golden treasures, and magical weapons, surely a kings ransom. You also notice a beautifuly crafted necklace lying on a barren rug as if it were a holy item.

Ahh...I see you have an the weyr of Anixith, this is the home of the finest of dragon-kind. Anixith, he is a strapping young dragon is he not, scales so bright, fangs so sharp. He is the weyr mate of the young boy Bink, whom I have taken under my wing, so to speak. Look mortal, and look well upon Anixith. He will some day become a dragon of such raw power that his mere presence will send the mightest of holders quaking in their boots. Oh and at his side is Trillet, an amazing little golden Tilldrake, and her always present play-mates the brown Huma and the two blues Kaz and Skie. And now Fuga has joined the crew, she's a female water drake, isn't she marvelous? Feel free to wander about the lair, but I would refrain from stealing anything. The treasures are Anixith's, so please do not take them. I will be waiting for you in the main lair if you have need of me, farewell mortal. For now allow young Bink to guide you about, this weyr is after all half his...

As Koddragon exits a young adolescent with curly red hair enters. He skips along as he walks a broad smile on his face, he takes your hands in his and shakes it merrily.

"Hullo", he says, "M'names Bink." And as if catching himself and looking over his shoulder where Koddragons exited. "I mean, Greetings friend, you may call me Bink." As the end of Koddragon's tail disappears through the entrance the young boy sighs audibly and leans against an outcropping rock of "frozen" magma. "Sorry 'bout that, Kod don't like it when I ain't talkin' all proper like. Oh the lil' dragonet there is Trillet, she's a pretty lil'thing ain't she? She's growin up fast, she's got a mate, the males' nam'd Vim. He gave her the necklace as a couplin' gift....really quite nice." The small golden creature croons at you like a small kitten, then resting her head between Anixith's fore feet she falls fast to sleep."She's got a few play mates, some flitters from CircleCove, the brown's named Huma, and the two blues are Kaz and Skie, they're playful ain't they? And this one rig'ere is Fuga, she's a beaut' ain't she? She's new to the bucnh an'still learning the ropes." Bink turns from you and pets the brown dragon's scaly neck and you see the small flitters perched close to the tiny golden creature and the smaller blue crooning their amuesment at your coming here just to see them. "So ya came down 'ere to see the weyr, eh?" He smiles broadly showing all of his teeth. "Well, the dragons fin'ly grown, he's a beaut ain't he. I'm his we...wer.." He fumbles over the difficult word. "Weyr mate." He smiles broadly. "He sure is smart ain't he, he talks through...tele...tell..." "Telepathy.""Yeah, telepathy, they had dragons in Xanth, but none like good'ol Anixith here. Xanth's my home world, a place of pure magic. Oh, it was great there. I miss it with all m'heart. But they kicked me out, sayin' I ain't got no magic. Well Kod, he mumbled some strange words, and he told me I had magic, magician rate magic. Gee, think of it, I coulda been king. But I ain't going back there, I'm stayin' 'ere with Anixith and Kod, he cares of me real well. My talent is a rare'on indeed, ol' Kod says I can't be hurt by any bad magic." He grins at this, puffing his chest in pride. "Oh yeah, as I was sayin', I'm this 'ere dragon's weyr mate" He yawns scratches Anixith's eye ridge. The dragon yawns as well and looks to Bink with its irredescent eyes. "Bink, I'm tired." "Alright Anixith, well it was nice meetin' ya travla' I hope ya have a nice stay. I gotta go oil Anixith's scales and put him to bed, ta ta." He calls out loudly once again to the direction Koddragon had left, "Farethewell friend, may your paths be safe and sound." He grins again and leaves you to roam about the lair as you wish.
