Description/History
Born one Richard Sanchez; Reborn as one Erebus, 10th Generation Caitiff. Richard led an inconsequential, average kine life. That is, until he met Emily. Emily was the girl everyone wanted to be with. As a poor boy from the rural west Richard was smitten with her immediately. His hot ardor soon turned to cold horror when he came to find she was one of the damned. It was the summer of love; a time when a person looked past things like religion, politics, and the knowledge your love is a member of the undead. So at the age of twenty-three Richard joined the ranks of the Kindred. For nearly a decade Richard served his love as loyally as any spaniel. Unfortunately the vampire known as Emily grew weary of her toys easily, she than sought to make him a slave, through the magic of the blood bond, and her art of flesh crafting, he would join her former lovers in an eternity of servitude. Much to her displeasure Emily realized that Richard was immune to the power of the blood bond, however he was still quite susceptible to the discipline of Vicissitude. Malformed and betrayed, Richard slayed his sire, diablerizing her in his frenzy and fled the city in fear of a reprisal from her allies. Long years have passed, Richard is now Erebus, and he values his hermetic unlifestyle. He does not relish speaking of his past and will avoid any conversation regarding the topic. His life is a tedious one, his crime a heinous one, and he is truly damned. For Erebus is haunted by the shade of his former sire. Now and again he can be seen arguing with her as she taunts him from the spirit world. Needless to say Erebus is not a happy camper. At first glance Erebus seems to be a cast off from the clan Nosferatu, or perhaps an ancient Gangrel, the marks of the beast obvious to any onlooker. If pressed for an answer he will plead ignorance, explaining his sire abandoned him without informing him of any Kindred lore. Erebus is a monstrous creature indeed. Twisted by the ravages of flesh craft he is truly an unholy abomination and he goes to great lengths to avoid most social confrontations. Erebus is a hulking thing, his muscles bulge disproportionably and his face resembles that of a feral animal, his mouth a snout with protruding fangs and his eyes are full of hellfire. Richard Sanchez, Erebus the darkness. Erebus stalks the alleys and near deserted streets of the inner city, preying upon the vagrants and criminals of society. He vainly hopes someday to redeem his body and placate the restless spirit of Emily.
