Welcome to my lair mortals. Fear not, I am in no mood for a hunt, my only hunger as of now is for that of knowledge. Come and read my tome on the fabulous creatures of my realm. The realm of the imagination. But first allow me to introduce myself. I am a dragon, which is obvious even for you mortals. But of a race of dragons long forgotten to mankind, the race of Kodragons. My name is far beyond your capabilities of speech, so just refer to me as Koddragon. My race is no longer in this realm, they have traveled to other places in search of better hunts perhaps, but I choose to stay, to learn more of this realm and all things concerning the “mythical”. Mythical…what a strange word to use in the presence of a dragon. But I will speak of that later. As I said my race is ancient and long forgotten, so allow me to change the latter. We are dragon-kin of small stature, the size of your house cats I believe. I am a strange one for my kind as you can tell by now, for I am the size of a mature Clydesdale stallion. My kind does not belch flame like your legendary wyrms. We instead emit a gaseous vapor that reduces the individual to a stature five percent of their normal size, and another that cancels the effect of the first. We also have the ability to teleport ourselves from one place to another; it is a rather helpful defense in combat, and a way to travel in true leisure. At first glance we appear to be nothing more than a large bat, but only for a moment. We are shaped like a dragon, with four spindly legs, a long sinuous neck, etceteras. However we have a fine gray fur instead of scales. (I myself am an exception to this, and many others.) We have bare, leathery wings, like those of a bat. Our face sports a blunt snout and large, luminous black eyes. Our tail is furred all the way down to the tip, where it is bare and pointed. The fore claws of a kodragon have opposable thumbs, like those of you humans. Most kodragons (myself omitted once again) speak in light, hissing voices; we speak all human languages fluently, and most draconic. We miniature dragons have a delicate, musty odor, completely different from any mammal. I would continue with my...dissertation, but I see I am boring you.
