" Adventurer and patriot was Thomas Henderson, a sturdy Scotsman. He was among the adventurous spirits who in 1607 braved the storm and stress of that epoch making voyage which brought the ships " SUSAN CONSTANT " , " DISCOVERY " , and the " GOODSPEED " to the New World and there he became the Father of this branch of the family in America. Thomas Henderson settled in Jamestown, Va., later moving to Blue Springs, Va., where he spent the remainder of his life.
