22. Carl Christian Pedersen BORUP
Departed Liverpool, England, on SS Monarch of the Seas, May 16, 1873. Traveling with his father, mother, brother and three sisters. The three sisters died enroute to Salt Lake City. They were part of John Murdock's ox train, from New York to Omaha, then St. Louis, to Wyoming and on to Salt Lake City, arriving Aug. 2. 1861. Settled in Goshen Utah. He was a Blacksmith, hauled freight and a farmer.
He and his parents were baptized as LDS in Denmark prior to coming to America. Between 1866 and 1871 Carl made two more trips across the plains by ox team to assist other companies.
He was a Veteran of the Black Hawk war.
Moved to Idaho in the early 1900'a
