For Friends That Have Touched My Heart

           A faithful friend is a sturdy shelter;
he who finds one finds a treasure.
A faithful friend is beyond price,
no sum can balance his worth.
           A faithful friend is a life-saving remedy,
           such as he who fears God finds;
For he who fears God behaves accordingly,
and his friend will be like himself.
           -Sirach 6:14-17

          HEARTPRINTS
Whatever our hands touch--- We leave fingerprints!!!
On walls, on furniture, On doorknobs,
dishes, books, As we touch we leave our identity.
Oh please where ever I go today,
    Help me leave heartprints!!!
Heartprints of compassion Of understanding and love.
    Heartprints of kindness and
genuine concern. May my heart touch a lonely neighbor
Or a runaway daughter, Or an anxious mother,
    Or, perhaps, a dear friend!!!
I shall go out today To leave heartprints,
And if somone should say "I felt your touch,"
May that one sense be...YOUR LOVE Touching through ME Pass
this rose on and let them know that you care about them!!!
    don't let the rose die!!!
A Friend Is Always Special Because Friends Love you because You are You!!!

    ~~The Little Candle~~
Once upon a time a little candle stood in a room filled with other candles,
most of them much larger and much more beautiful than she was.
Some were ornate and some were rather simple,
like herself Some were white, some were blue, some were pink, some were green. She had no idea why she was there, and the
other candles made her feel rather small and insignificant.
When the sun went down and the room began to get dark,
she noticed a large man walkingtoward her with a ball of fire on a stick.
She suddenly realized that the man was going to set her on fire.
"No, no!!" she cried, "Aaaaagghhh! Don't burn me, please!"
But she knew that she could not be
heard and prepared for the pain that would surely follow.
To her surprise, the room filled with light.
She wondered where it came from since the man had
extinguished his fire stick, To her delight, she realized
that the light came from herself
Then the man struck another fire stick and, one by one,
lit the other candles in the room.
Each one gave out the same light that she did.
During the next few hours, she noticed that, slowly, her wax began to flow.
She became aware that she would soon die.
With this realization came a sense of why she had been created.
"Perhaps my purpose on earth is to give out light until I die," she mused.
And that's exactly what she did.
God created you and I to produce light in a dark world.
Like that little candle, we all can produce the same amount of light,
no matter how small we are or what color we might be.
But we can't produce light until we receive it from an outside source.
That source is Jesus Christ, the light of the world.
Also like the little candle, we have to die in order to produce light.
If we try to preserve ourselves, our lives will be meaningless.
But if we are willing to lose our lives for
Christ's sake (Matthew 10:39), we will find our true purpose and meaning.

 I've learned-
that we don't have to change friends
if we understand that friends change.

I've learned-
that no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every
once in a while and you must forgive
them for that.

I've learned-
that true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.

I've learned-
that you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.

I've learned-
that it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.

I've learned-
that you should always leave loved ones
with loving words. It may be the last
time you see them.

I've learned-
that you can keep going
long after you can't.

I've learned-
that we are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.

I've learned-
that either you control your attitude
or it controls you.

I've learned-
that regardless of how hot and
steamy a relationship is at first,
the passion fades and there had
better be something else to take
its place.

I've learned-
that heroes are the people
who do what has to be done
when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.

I've learned-
that money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I've learned-
that my best friend and I can do anything
or nothing and have the best time.

I've learned-
that sometimes the people you expect
to kick you when you're down,
will be the ones to help you get back up.

I've learned-
that sometimes when I'm angry
I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me
the right to be cruel.

I've learned-
that just because someone doesn't love
you the way you want them to doesn't
mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned-
that maturity has more to do with
what types of experiences you've had
and what you've learned from them
and less to do with how many
birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learned-
that it isn't always enough to be
forgiven by others. Sometimes you
have to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned-
that no matter how bad your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I've learned-
that our background and circumstances
may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned-
that just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other
And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do.

I've learned-
that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a
secret. It could change your life forever.

I've learned-
that two people can look at the exact
same thing and see something totally
different.

I've learned-
that your life can be changed in a matter of
hours by people who don't even know you.

I've learned-
that even when you think you have no more
to give, when a friend cries out to you
you will find the strength to help.

I've learned-
that credentials on the wall
do not make you a decent human being.

I've learned-
that the people you care about most in life
are taken from you too soon.

I've learned-
that there is always tomorrow.Time is
Our L-rds Mercy.

I have learned-
to grasp with abandon the preciousness of life.

I have learned-
to never let a moment pass with out
telling my loved ones just how much I care and Love
them. Tomorrow may be to late

I have learned-
That bitterness and unforgiveness can become
a consuming cancer in the soul. Forgiveness heals
not only our souls but those around us.

I have learned-
True freedom is surrender.
That dying to myself opens the door of innumerable possibilities.

I have been blessed with many friend thought out my life that have touch my heart at one time or another. There were many that came and gone, but they did leave a heartprint in my heart. There were 9 missionaires friends that I serve with on a missionary team back in 89.   We serve as catholic missionaries for a whole summer, and we got close.  It was a wonderful experience for me to serve God this way and with 9 other missonaries that left their heartprint in my heart.  These 9 people have always been in my heart and in my prayers.  I have met some good friends online too that have touched my heart and my life. I am blessed to have met them and know them.
This page is also for those friends that have been there for me ,though the ups and downs, and love me for me.  For my friends that are offline, that God has put in my life.
I am very grateful for those friends I have in my life today.
But I am grateful for the one true friend I have in my life that is Jesus Christ.
He is my very best friend, and one that I lean on.  Now he is the one that brings me joy and comforts me and give me love, peace, and sweet warmth of his love.
Jesus is my very best friend, who I can call upon and go to, and run to.
This is a page for all those friends in my life, or who have been a friend to me one time or another, for those online and offline friends, and mostly for Jesus who is my very Best Friend.
