So we shagged, now what?

Previously on the Spike Channel Xander and Spike rang
in the New Year the old fashion way; in Spikes words
they shagged. The only ones in the Scooby gang that
know are Willow and Tara. When we last left our
program; our leading men had gone back to sleep after
Xander had finished talking to Willow on the phone.
Now we return back to the Spike Channel.
Jan 1,2001 afternoon
Xander and Spike woke up mid afternoon; they both
took turns for the shower. Spike had offered to wash
Xanders back for him, but Xander just blushed and
shook his head no. Xander was fully awake now and the
situation has just gotten awkward for him. Spike on
the other hand took the situation in stride; the only
time he got upset is when he found out that he missed
one his favorite show, "Passions." He growled and
pouted until Xander patted his shoulder and told him
to sit down and watch cartoons with him; that's when
Buffy showed up.
X: "Hey, Buffy, Happy New Years."
B: "Happy New Years Xander" and a half hearted "Happy
New Years Spike."
"Happy New Years to you too Slayer, what brings you
here?"
B: "Giles wants you to help with patrolling more."
"Why should I?"
B: "Since Giles store is doing fairly well, he has
decided to pay you, it's for you to help pay the rent
around here."
Neither Xander nor Spike mentioned the money that
Spike still had that he had found in the mansion and
was currently in the steamer trunk in his room. He had
told Xander where he had gotten the money to buy the
Christmas presents when they had gone to the mall to
shop for Xanders new outfits.
"Yeah whatever slayer, I'll talk to the watcher later
so if you don't mind I'm watching cartoons here, so..."
Spike waves her off and goes back to watching t.v.
B: Buffy rolls her eyes and turns to leave. "Bye
Xander, I'll expect to see both of you at the Magic
Box later."
X: "Bye Buffy." Xander closes the door after she
leaves and goes back to sitting next to Spike on the
couch, but this time closer than he had before Buffy
showed up. "So."
"It be nice to get paid for killing demons."
X: "You don't need to."
"Might as well." Sighs "My first job ever."
X: "You never worked?" Xander was shocked; he already
lost count on the number of jobs he worked in.
"Never had the need to." "When I was alive my father
had his own business and he was not ready to retire,
but I was going to be trained in the business when I
was a bit older, but as you can see I was turned
first." "Vampires don't have a real need to work."
During this dialogue spike had been inching closer to
Xander and finally winds up next to him, both their
knees touching.
They sit close together watching and fighting over
what channel to watch like nothing had changed. They
were sitting closer together than they were a few days
ago on the couch but neither of them said anything,
but of course that didn't mean they weren't thinking
about it.
X: < Damn I really thought that Buffy might have known
what happened last night. I mean Spike is annoying,
overbearing, and aggressive but I still don't want her
to dust my lover, and I just can't believe I just
thought that. I should really stop staring at him. >
S: < The whelp is staring at me again, he really does
think too much sometimes, hmm reminds me of me when I
was human, and oooh Sailor Moon is on. >
At the Magic Box later.
Buffy was in the training room in the back working
out. Tara and Willow were standing at the counter
talking and often glancing at Xander and Spike. Giles
was talking to Spike about his fee.
S: "Listen here watcher, blood is not cheap, and I
don't work for minimum wage."
G: "Yes, I understand Spike, but you must understand
I'm not rich." "I have decided to pay you 150 dollars
a week."
S: "I guess that's all right." He mumbled 'cheapskate'
under his breath when he turned away and went to smoke
outside.
W: "When are you going back to work Xander?"
X: "January 3,Wednesday." "This might be the last time
that I see you guys until the weekend."
After a few minutes Buffy comes out of the training
room and everyone but Giles goes with her to patrol.
B: "Ugh I can't believe your getting paid, I don't get
paid."
S: "The word is bribery luv, your watcher is bribing
me."
They continue to bicker as they walk to the middle of
town. Xander, Tara, and Willow are walking behind
Spike and Buffy. Willow tries to talk to Xander, but
Tara stops her by motioning to Spike and Buffy.
B: "All right lets split up Willow and Tara you are
with me, Xander and Spike will patrol on the other
side of town."
The girls leave.
S: "Bossy little chit."
Xander and Spike walk in silence for a while.
X: "So um what are you going to do with the money?"
S: "Oh I don't know, hire an assassin maybe to kill
the slayer."
Xander stops and stares with his mouth open.
X: "Your kidding right?"
S: (no answer) Keeps walking.
X: "Spike?"
S: "It's just a joke."
X: "Well it's not funny."
S: "Sure it is, well maybe not to you but it is to
me."
Xander just stares at him like his crazy. They
continue to patrol. They dusted three vampires easily,
Spike beats them up then he lets Xander stake them
while he holds the vampires down. They walk through
one of Sunnydales cemeteries; it's the one that spike
used to live in before he moved in with Xander.
S: "Xander luv have you ever done it in a cemetery
before."
X: "No, but only because in all most all the horror
movies the first people to be killed are the couples
making out in a cemetery."
S: "I'm the Big Bad, I won't let anyone kill you."
X: "Really, you won't let anyone kill me."
S: "Of course not, besides it's a real bitch to get a
new roomie who isn't a total prick."
X: "I know, look at the roommate I got stuck with."
S: "Should I be insulted? I think I should." "You got
a wicked tongue luv, I'm so proud." He takes a look
around the cemetery. "So you want to make out on top
of a grave?"
X: "No that's just ewww, but what will you give me if
I agree?"
Spike leers at him and stands in front of him, he
puts his hands on Xanders hips and leans in close,
their lips almost touch, and Spike whispers "Whatever
you want luv."
X: "Your old crypt is near here right?"
S: "Yes."
X: "Um lets go in there then."
S: "O.K, lets go."
Xander and Spike walk toward Spikes old crypt, Spike
holds Xanders hand as they walk. When they get to the
crypt, they notice nothing has changed. The pink
sheets are still on top of the stone coffin, and Spike
old t.v is still in the corner. Spike lights some of
the torches. When he is certain there is enough light
he stands in front of Xander and maneuvers him to
stand in front of the coffin. Spike starts kissing
Xander and slides Xanders jacket off and lets it fall
to the floor. He places his palms on Xanders shoulder
and then proceeds to slide his hands down Xander's
back until he cups his buttocks. He lifts Xander up
and sits him on top of the coffin, throughout all this
they continue to kiss.
Xander slides Spike jacket off and then runs his
hands down Spikes front until his fingers are touching
the top button of his jeans. The door to the crypt
bangs open.
" What are you guys doing?" "Spike get away from him."
X: "Buffy calm down."
B: "Calm down? How can I calm down, when I find one of
my closest friend kissing with my mortal enemy in a
crypt, and since when are you gay."
X: "He is not your mortal enemy, he is your new patrol
partner."
B: "He is a vampire that I'm going to dust soon."
Willow and Tara walk up behind Buffy, they overheard
the whole conversation.
W: "You can't dust him Buffy, he can't defend himself,
and besides I think they're good for each other."
B: "You can't be agreeing to let them go on with this
sick twisted relationship."
W: She glances at Tara and then looks back to Buffy.
"Yes, and it's not a sick twisted relationship."
X: "I don't need for someone to agree to this, this is
my life and my relationship, and you don't have any
say in this Buffy."
B: "We'll see about that." She storms out of the crypt
leaving the others behind.
S: "Finally." "Whelp you were real manly like standing
up the slayer."
X: "I was."
S: "Yeah, you were." He kisses him. Tara and Willow
both sigh.
W: "Um guys I hate to interrupt but what are we going
to do about Buffy."
S: "She probably ran to the watcher with a lie."
W: "Buffy wouldn't lie."
S: "Really." Xander and Willow both look
uncomfortable.
S: "I thought so and by the way what were you three
doing on this side of town I thought we were supposed
to meet at the shop later."
T: " Buffy wanted to see if you were actually
patrolling."
S: "I said I'll patrol and I meant it, well we might
as well go face the firing squad."
Xander and Spike put on their jackets and they blow
out the lights and leave. All four of them walk
together to the Magic Box, both couples are holding
hands. When they arrive at the shop they encounter an
irate slayer and a weary watcher.
B: "Tell them they can't continue Giles."
G: "I can't do that Buffy, Xander is an adult and he
knows the consequences of being with a vampire."
B: "Spike is dangerous, chip or no chip."
S: "Thanks for the compliment slayer."
B: "Quiet you."
S: "Fine, but remember slayer you kill me and your mum
will be very upset and you don't want that."
B: "Fine I won't kill you now, but if I ever hear you
hurt Xander you are so dust."
S: "Thanks, I suppose."
B: "Whatever."
X: "Thanks Buffy."
B: "He hurts you xander and he is dust."
X: "Um O.K Buffy, but I don't think that will be very
necessary."
G: "Well since that is all settled we have a bit of
research to do."
They sit down in various parts of the shop. Xander
and Spike sit on the floor cross-legged their knees
touching they are reading from the same book. Tara and
Willow are at the counter. Buffy is sitting at the
table with Giles; she is facing xander and spike.
Every once in a while she glances up from the book she
is reading and glares at Spike but he just ignores
her. They stayed in the Magic Box researching until it
got real late xander and spike were the first to
leave, when it looked like Buffy was going to follow
them Giles stopped her by asking how her mother was.
(Willow is talking to Tara, Buffy accidentally
overhears)
W: "I can't believe Xander and Spike were going to
have s-e-x in a crypt."
B: "What?" "Those two haven't done it yet, they were
just kissing."
W: "No I think they were going to do it in a crypt,
besides they already had s-e-x last night or should I
say this morning."
B: "To much Information, I'm going home."
Epilogue:
Things in sunnydale went on as before, the slayer and
her slayerretes stopped another apocalypse, and
continued to slay demons. When some citizens found out
about the new couple, some were not shocked, many had
suspicions about them, they were often seen in public
first bickering and then joking like they were old
friends, yep not many people were surprised. Life
went on as normal as they can get, well normal as it
gets for this group.
A few weeks later at Xander and Spikes apartment.
X: "Spike I been wondering, whatever happened to your
car?"
S: "Bloody Hell, where is my car?"
And thus began the adventure of finding the Spike
mobile, but that is another tale.
