Artillery

Cannon


Fires cannonballs at long and medium range. Makes efficient use of grapeshot fire in close combat against infantry and cavalry. Requires gold for maintenance. If there is no gold left, your cannon will cease firing. Undefended cannons may be captured by the enemy. They require much coal and iron to fire.

Howitzer

Fires grapeshot at close range. Effective against infantry. High rate of fire. Requires gold for maintenance. If there is no gold left, your howitzer will cease firing. Undefended howitzers may be captured by the enemy. Requires much coal and iron for firing.

Mortars

Siege gun. Provides plunging fire. Effective against fortifications and large infantry formations. Low rate and accuracy of fire. Requires gold. If there is no gold left, your mortars will cease firing. Undefended mortars may be captured by the enemy. Requires much coal and for firing.

Multi barreled gun

Fires grapeshot at close range. Effective against infantry. High rate of fire. Requires gold for maintenance. If there is no gold left, your multi-barrelled cannon will cease firing. An undefended multi-barrelled cannon can be captured by the enemy. Requires much coal and iron for firing.
