Willow was bored.

She had been all day.

Not that being in class was boring, she actually found Ancient History interesting. But at the moment, it wasn’t history that was on her mind.

It was Giles.

She had wanted him all day...in the worst way.

Okay, Wills,’ she thought to herself, as the professor droned on, ‘get a grip. I’m mean, it’s not like I’m not going to see him tonight....six hours from now,’ she groaned to herself.

Six hours to a love sick young woman was like an eternity. And sitting in class was like an eternity spent in hell. Of course, living in Sunnydale, she understood the meaning of hell quite well.

When the dismissal bell finally rang, it was all she could do, not to run right out of the lecture hall and straight to her dorm room to change for a night of fun, passion...and magic. But first, she had to make a stop.

******

“Willow?” Tara smiled, shyly through the opened room, “Hi.”

“Hi,” Willow greeted back with a warm grin, “Can I come in?”

Tara stumbled over her words, almost as though she was unsure of what she really wanted to say, “O-oh...sure...come in. Did you want to do a spell tonight?”

“Well, I can’t stay long,” Willow hesitated for a moment, trying to choose her next words carefully, “Actually, I need to talk to you.”

“If was about the other day...”

“No,” she shook her head, “I already told you, that’s not it that. It’s...well...I don’t know how to tell you this...”

“It’s somebody else,” Tara looked deflated, “You’re in love with someone else?”

Willow sighed, and walked over to her friend. Taking her hand, she kissed it gently, “I really...care a lot about you, Tara. I like what we have together, and I don’t want to lose it. But...yeah...there’s someone else. Someone who has been in my life for a long time. Someone I love.”

“Oh.”

“Tara,” Willow tried to soothe her, “I not trying to end us. I just want to explain, where I’ve been going, when I’m not in class or with you.”

“You don’t have to explain,” Tara said, feeling her breath disappearing with every word, “I-I understand...”

“No, I don’t think you do.” Willow crossed over to the bed and sat down. When Tara did the same, she turned to her and said, “I told him about you, and he’s okay with it. It’s only fair that you know about him.”

“Him?” Tara wasn’t sure whether to be surprised or not. She knew Willow had a long term relationship with Oz...could he have come back?

“Giles.” It was all Willow could say. She waited for a response, any response to let her know what Tara was feeling. She waited...and only got a blank stare. “You know...Giles? Tall, handsome English guy...really sexy singing voice? The guy at the Espresso Pump...”

“I know Giles,” she sighed, rolling her eyes, “I have met him a few times, you know. I just...I just didn’t know you two were...” Then she sat up with a moment of realization, “Of course! That’s what you meant by the comment about the crush thing. But I thought that was of the past?”

“Well...not so past,” she looked down, “See, I found this spell book...a book of Love Spells to be exact...and...”

“Love Spells?” Tara asked, “You two cast love spells together?”

“At first it was just to cheer him up...and me,” she continued to explain, “I broke up with Oz and he broke up with is girlfriend...but then...I don’t know...something happened. We made a connection.”

“So, you want to be with him?” Tara looked heart broken.

“Yes...no...I mean,” Willow stammered, trying to make this right, “Tara, that’s what I’m trying to tell you. I want to be with him...but I also want to be with you. See, the book showed me that. This spell...Faces of Love-”

Tara’s eyes grew wide, “You have to Book of J’hemera?”

“J’who a what?”

“J’hemera,” Tara stared at her in wonder, “It’s an ancient book that was thought lost. It was created by the most powerful of Witches thousands of years ago. One of the spells they created was Faces of Love. They used it to allow them to see who their true loves where.” She stopped, and thought for a moment, “And you said it showed...me?”

Willow nodded and smiled, “You and Giles. I told him that...and...he understood. I...love...you both.”

“You do?”

Willow leaned in and kissed her softly on her lips, “Yes. Can you forgive me for lying to you?”

Tara smiled, dreamily, “What lie?”

******

Willow could hear the guitar playing through the closed door to Giles’ apartment. She still couldn’t get over the fact that he could sing. She remembered seeing the picture of a very young Giles with the guitar, but she always figured it to be a different person...not really Giles.

But, as she listened to the melodic song, she knew it was Giles. It was always Giles.

And it was HER Giles.

“Please, don’t stop,” she sighed, unable to stop grinning, “Not on my account.”

Giles smiled and finished the song. When he was done, he gently placed the guitar down and walked over to Willow. Without a moment’s hesitation, he kissed her firmly on her lips, sending a shiver down her spine. She really didn’t need a magic spell to tell her she wanted to jump him right then and there...

“Ooo...” Willow jumped with excitement, “I know what the mysterious Spell Book’s name is.”

Giles was caught slightly off guard by this announcement, “Oh?”

“Yep,” she grinned, straitening herself proudly, “Tara and I were discussing it, and...”

“You told Tara about the book?” Giles said, a bit defensively.

“Well, I told her about us,” Willow explained, “and I mentioned the book. Anyway, she knows it.”

“Knows what?”

“The book,” she looked at Giles as though it was something he should have known, “It’s called J’hemera. It’s an-”

“Ancient book, created by a long lost witch’s Coven,” Giles’ eyes lit up, and he was back to his, research self, “Of course! I should have known it! Well, this certainly makes your find all the more special.”

“Why?”

“The book can only be used by those who possess the knowledge of magic,” Giles explained, reaching for a book from his shelf and reading from the dusty pages, “You...because you’re a witch. And, well...I’ve been known to cast a spell or two...”

“Or two?” she grinned mischievously, remembering the dozens of spells Giles had cast in the past several years...most of them to save their lives.

“Well...” Giles continued, “But for the book to communicate its ‘will’ to us...” He paused, as he read the words on the yellowed pages, “Interesting....”

“What?” Willow couldn’t contain her curiosity any longer.

“It must be linked to you because you’re a witch...”

Willow walked over to the book stand, where Giles kept, J’hemera, and picked it up, “But it spoke to you...right?”

“Yes...” Giles tilted his head, “Curious.”

She set the book down as both watched it intensely. Waiting for it to do something. After a minute, the leather cover opened and the pages began to turn, “I knew it!” Giles exclaimed, “The book really IS sentient. It allowed us to cast a few spells, on our own, to test our abilities...”

“Why?”

Giles watched the pages come to a stop, “To see if we are worthy to possess it.”

“Animalis?” Willow read the title of the spell, “What does that mean?”

Giles shook his head, apprehension collected in the pit of his stomach, “I’m not sure. But I think the book wants us to cast this.”

Willow looked at the spell, “Are you sure it’s safe?”

“Well...” Giles smiled, “I suppose we’ll find out.”

“We call upon the spirits of the beasts...” Giles began to read.

“Which crawl and fly...” Willow continued.

“...to guide us, and strengthen us.”

“And make us one.”

Giles and Willow sat on the floor for a few minutes. Nothing seemed to be different. No magical lights. No mist. No strange sounds. Nothing.

“Did it work?” Willow asked, unsure if she would even know what it was she was looking for, “I don’t feel any different.”

“I don’t either,” Giles shook his head, and closed the book. “If this was a love spell, it’s a very suttal one.”

“Maybe we said it wrong,” Willow wondered.

Once again, Giles shook his head, “No, I don’t think so. Strange.”

“You’re telling me,” Willow sighed, suddenly not feeling ‘in the mood’ any longer, “In fact, I’m not really...I think I’m just going back to my room.”

“Hmmm?” Giles muttered, somewhat distracted, “Oh, yes. I’m feeling a bit tired myself.” He walked her to the door, stopping to kiss her softly on her lips, “Will I see you tomorrow?”

“Yeah,” Willow had the same look of distraction as he, “sure. Night.”

******

The next morning, Willow awoke with a start. Bright light shone through the window, striking her with cruel, harsh purpose.

“’Bout time you woke up,” Buffy said, fixing her hair, “I was wondering if you were gonna sleep all day.”

“What time is it?” she asked, still groggy. It was as though she didn’t sleep at all that night, even though she knew she did.

“Almost noon,” Buffy replied.

“NOON?!” Willow sprang out of bed, frantically looking for her clothes, “Ohmygod ohmygod! I’m soo late for class...I’ve never been this late...I...” she paused looking at her friend, and room mate, “Aren’t you supposed to be in class too?”

“Wills,” Buffy smiled warmly, “It’s Saturday.”

“Oh.”

Buffy crossed over to her bed and sat down, gazing long and hard at her best friend, “I know I haven’t exactly been around a lot lately, but...are you okay? You seem...a little different this morning.”

Willow ran her hand through her short, red hair and shook off her initial panic, “Yeah, I-I’m fine. I just...didn’t sleep well last night.” Then she noticed Buffy’s attire and asked, “You going out today?”

“Oh, yeah,” Buffy nodded, standing up and grabbing her slayer’s bag, “Riley and I are going on exercise this weekend. Remember, I told you last week?”

“Oh, yeah...right,” Willow looked deflated, “I was just...never mind.”

“What?” Buffy stopped and touched her arm. Willow recoiled slightly, “What’s wrong?”

The young witch back away, “Nothing. You have a great weekend. Kick some Commando butts for me.”

“Willow?”

“Go on,” she insisted, “I have a ton of things to do this weekend anyway.”

“But-”

“GO!”

Buffy was stunned by her friend’s response, but knew there wasn’t anything she could do, or say to make it right...at least not until she came back, “Okay. I’ll be back on Sunday night. I promise.”

“Yeah.”

“Bye.”

“Yeah.”

******

Willow wandered around the sparsely populated campus. Most of the students had gone home for the weekend...or had far better things to do with their time, then stroll around school. But not Willow. Where was she going to go on weekends? Home? That was a laugh. She hardly spoke to her mother much these days. And why go home to get a lector on the mistakes she made by not choosing to attend M.I.T., or one of the many prestigious universities that wanted her.

No, going home wasn’t an option.

She could visit Xander. But he and Anya were always to busy having....well....too busy for her to be a third wheel.

Tara.

She found herself heading over to her friend’s dorm. When she reached the room, she could smell the rich scent of incense fill the air and tickle her nostrils. It seemed more potent today...more...

“Willow?” Tara smiled, opening the door wide for her, “Come in. Please.”

Willow strode into her room with a new found confidence. Deep down she knew Tara belonged to her, and would never leave. That gave Willow a great sense of power. She looked around the room to find the source of the incense and found nothing burning, “Where’s the incense?”

“What?” Tara acted surprised by her question, “I’m not burning any-”

“But I smell it,” she insisted, “Jasmine. Very strong. Mixed with...” she paused to attach a name to the scent, “Honey.”

“Jasmine and honey?” Tara repeated, “Willow that was a spell we did three days ago. You can still smell it? I can’t.”

Willow smiled and walked over to her, “Yeah,” she looked at her with hungry eyes, “I still can.” Reaching out, Willow brought Tara closer, greedily devouring her full lips.

It was a passionate kiss.

It was...a dangerous kiss.

Tara pulled back, feeling something strange from her friend, “Willow,” she said breathlessly, “W-what’s going on? This isn’t like you...”

“You don’t like it?” Willow asked seductively, “You don’t want more?”

“Well, yeah,” Tara hedged, backing away slightly, “but...not like this. This is...did you and Giles cast a spell last night?”

This time it was Willow who backed up, “What do you mean?” she asked a bit too defensively, “Why do you want to know? Do you want to cast a spell with him? ‘Cause, you know...you can’t” she lashed out at him, ferociously, cutting Tara on the cheek, “He’s mine!”

Tara watched Willow storm out of the room, as she held her bleeding face. Something was wrong. Something was definitely wrong!

******

Xander knocked on Giles’ door. Normally, he would have just barged in...but when he was about to open the door, he heard a strange sound emanating from the apartment. It was like a low, guttural growl....almost feral in nature. Something was inside Giles’ apartment...something not very friendly.

“Giles?” he pounded several more times, “Giles?! Are you in there? Are you okay? Are you being snacked on by something I really don’t want to face...but oddly enough...I’m about too?”

Without waiting for a response, Xander pushed the door open. He braced himself to be set upon, and was relieved when all he saw in the living room was Giles. Then he noticed the Watcher pacing back and forth like a caged animal...and his fears came back with a vengeance.

“Um,” he inched nearer to his friend, “Giles? You okay? You look a little....stressed.”

Giles immediately stopped. He turned to Xander with feral stare, “What do you want?”

Xander wasn’t sure how to react. This was not the Giles he was used to. Hell, this wasn’t any human he was used to. The usually mild mannered, ex-Watcher-ex-Librarian, stood before him, sizing the young man up, which gave Xander the impression that he was ready to pounce.

“Um,” Xander stumbled over his words, “Remember, yesterday? You wanted me to come over and help you with some new books you got? Well, I’m here...and you’re...” he paused, seeing the older man resume his passing, “...obviously not. Giles, what’s going on?”

Once again, Giles stopped pacing. Deep in the back of his mind, he wondered the same thing. He woke up, not quite feeling himself, but he couldn’t figure out why. All he knew was he longed for HER. And now, all he could do is wait for her to come to him.

“Go home,” Giles growled, “I don’t need help today.”

“Fine,” Xander grumbled, still confused with the sudden change in his friend’s attitude, “But don’t get mad at me when you wake up from this Twilight Zone episode and find yourself up to your eyeballs in books.”

“Out!”

“I’m going, I’m going,” Xander backed away, and turned to open the door, “Man, give a Watcher some free time...”

“OUT!”

“Getting out,” Xander quickly closed the door behind him. As he walked away through the courtyard he sighed, “Okay, now that was weird.” He spied Willow walking at a furious pace toward him, “Wills, what’s up...” he began, as she blew passed him, heading to Giles’ apartment.

“Um, Willow,” Xander ran after her, “I wouldn’t go there if I were you,” he warned, “Giles is in a pissed off mood today. He’s acting really strange...” He stopped when he noticed Willow’s disheveled appearance, and her wild gaze, “Okay...but not as strange as you. Willow? Hello? Earth to Willow?” he passed his hand in front of her face, yanking it back before she nearly bit it off, “Whoa! Hey, leave some flesh.”

Willow ignored him and entered the apartment.

******

The moment she walked into the room, Giles stopped pacing. He closed his eyes and breathed in deeply, taking in her scent, and feeling her heat caress his skin. Without saying a word, he walked over to her and kissed her with a raw intensity that Willow almost collapsed in his arms. His lips devoured hers, as his arms pulled her in closer.

Neither had ever felt this kind of primal passion before, but it was definitely a feeling they liked. Giles pushed Willow against the wall and began to rub up against her, nibbling her flesh with hungry teeth. A guttural moan escaped her lips, as she wriggled under his lovely assault.

******

Xander was about to walk away from the apartment, washing his hand of the entire strange affair, when something occurred to him...

“What the hell am I doing?” He slapped his forehead in exasperation, “Giles and Willow acting all Sybil...this has Hellmouthy mayhem written all over it.” Xander pushed his ear up against the door, and heard a bizarre, animalistic moan from inside. “Guys?” he called out to them, “You guys okay? Giles? Willow?” Not wanting to waste anymore time, Xander pushed the door open, to find...

“GILES?! WILLOW?!” he shouted, seeing them in the middle of pawing each other, “What the hell?! Okay, now this is a sight I could definitely have done without.”

Giles whirled around and faced Xander. He had an almost murderous look in his eyes, as he loomed menacing closer to the young man. The Watcher pushed Willow behind her, holding her, possessively close to him, “I SAID....GO AWAY!!!”

“Not before you tell me what’s going on!” Xander shouted, cautiously backing up slightly, “And not before you let Willow go!”

“Willow?” Giles growled sizing the young man up, “You want Willow? You can’t have her...she’s mine!”

Xander stumbled backwards, trying to avoid Giles’ swing, “Hey...I’m not trying to take Willow away from you...Willow away from you? Giles,” Xander attempted, once more, to reason with the man, “doesn’t this seem strange to you? You’re acting all Tarzan of the Hellmouth. Willow isn’t your Jane-”

“Mine!” He pushed Xander through the open door.

Before Xander could go anything else, the door slammed shut, locking him out....and his two friends in, “What the HELL is going on?!”

“They’re under a spell,” Tara said, as he began to stand up.

“Yeah, no kidding,” Xander brushed himself off. “And....who are you?” he noticed the mousy, blonde girl for the first time.

“My name’s Tara,” she gave a shy smile, “I’m....W-Willow’s friend.”

“Willow never mentioned you,” Xander shook his head.

“Oh,” Tara tried to explain, “I’m in her Wicca group. W-we cast....spells together.”

Xander looked at her suspiciously, “And did you cast this?”

Tara shook her head violently, “Oh no! I think this spell was from a book Willow has. Her and Giles have been casting spells together...”

Xander really didn’t want to ask the next question... “What kind of spells?”

It was Tara, this time, who looked uncomfortable, “L-love spells.”

Several minutes of stunned silence passed, before Xander could find his voice again, “You mean to tell me...that...they...they...”

“Are involved,” she nodded.

“Okay,” Xander was more than a little annoyed, “yet another thing Willow failed to mention to me. And she told you...because...”

“She didn’t want me to feel jealous.”

“Jeal-” Xander choked to silence, once again.

Tara just blinked in response.

“See,” he paced around the courtyard, “this is what happens when I don’t go to college. Buffy becomes Initiative Woman...Willow joins a Witch’s group-”

“Coven,” Tara began, “and we’re not really a part of that anymore...”

“Then I find out she has a girl...girl...” Xander stuttered, “A girlfriend! And now...she’s playing wild safari love with Giles!”

******

Giles tore off Willow’s shirt, exposing her firm breasts. Licking his lips, he bent down and began to suckle on her erect nipple. Willow grabbed a shock of hair in her small hands, and wrapped her legs around his. She wanted him so badly, she was aching. And his nibbles were driving her wild.

God, he smelled so good!

She never remembered him smelling so damn sexy. She closed her eyes and listened to the increased beating of his heart. It was almost as though her senses were heightened. Sight. Sound. Smell. Everything seemed to increase with their lovemaking.

Touch.

She jumped, when he unzipped her jeans, and slipped his hand down to her womanhood. As he did, they moved from the wall over to the couch. He leaned her against the couch back, while he dipped his finger into her wet opening.

Giles growled softly, nibbling her neck, and biting her nipples. He felt the pressure in his groin as a result of listening to Willow’s mews of pleasure, and feeling her heat in his hand. He wanted to take her. Take her hard. He wanted to make her his...forever.

With his free hand, he removed his pants, releasing his hardness. Quickly, Giles pulled down Willow’s jeans and turned her around. Bending her over the couch, he took her from behind, entering her with such force that she cried out in surprise.

******

“What the hell?!” Xander heard the cries of passion coming from behind the closed, wooden door, “Giles?!” he said, pounding on the door, “Stop that! I don’t know what you’re doing...but what ever it is...stop it!”

******

Giles growled taking the flesh of Willow’s shoulder in his teeth, as he drove in deeper. He paused for a moment when he heard the pounding on the door. This was a distraction he didn’t want. He removed himself from her, ignoring her protests, and picked her up in his strong arms. Looking around for a safe place, he quickly moved to the bathroom, and locked the door.

******

“Hey,” Xander listened closely, “I think...I don’t think they’re in the living room anymore.”

“Good,” Tara said, “We have to get inside.”

“Are you nuts?!” Xander protested, “Go inside? You obviously didn’t see Giles in there. I mean, he was a tad possessive with Willow. He almost took my head off. Not to mention, going inside with Willow and Giles....doing very UN-Willow and Giles things...I don’t think so.”

“Look,” Tara sighed, annoyed at the young man’s reaction, “the spell they cast is in the book...which is inside the apartment. If I want to try and counter the effects, I need to know exactly what the spell is.”

“Yeah but-”

“If you don’t want to go with me,” she grumbled, “fine. But don’t stand in my way!”

Xander sighed. He really longed for the good old days of high school again. Then, the only thing they had to worry about was exams, and trying not to be demon food. “No. I’ll help. Besides, if Giles is still in the living room...you don’t want to have to deal with him alone.” He braced himself and threw his body into the door...

“Ow!” he cried out, rubbing his shoulder, “What did they make this door out of?” He tried it again, with the same painful response.

“Um,” Tara pointed to the open window, “How about through there?”

“Oh sure,” Xander said, climbing through the window, “pick the easy way in.” After sliding onto the floor, Xander helped Tara through, and looked around, “Okay...not that I’m complaining...but where are they?”

Tara heard groaning coming from the bathroom, “In there?” she pointed.

******

Giles mounted Willow, thrusting into her with renewed vigor. He looked into the mirror of the bathroom sink, where he had Willow pinned against, and noticed something strange. He didn’t look the same. His features were changing slightly with every moment of pleasure. He was becoming....

“Oh god,” Willow groaned, “Don’t stop!”

“Willow,” he gasped, pulling out and stepping back, “W-what’s happening here?” He looked at her and saw a red tiger-stripped feline before him. Although Willow still had somewhat human features, she was definitely becoming a cat. And for that matter...so was he.

“Who cares?” Willow asked, tackling him to the ground and licking his fur covered face. She pawed at his, still hard member, stroking it lovingly. “Make love to me,” she purred, “Please. I need you.”

Giles moaned at the soft touch of her furry paws. He really did want her...but...

“Oh, the hell with it,” he sighed, flipping her over and resuming their love making.

******

“It sounds like a couple of cats mating in there,” Xander shuddered at the vision, “Could a spell do that?”

“Yeah,” Tara nodded, seeing the book on the coffee table, “It must be some kind of transformation spell. I just have to figure out what spell it is...then I can...hey!”

The book flew off the table and landed several feet away. Tara walked over to it lying on the floor, and bent down to pick it up. Again, it self propelled away from her. “Now stop that,” she spoke to the book, as though it were a child, “You’re not helping things.”

“You’re talking to a book, you know,” Xander pointed out, as he watched Tara continue to chase the leather bound book around the room, “Then again...a book is flying, and my two closest friends are making kitty-love noises...” He ran over to Tara and began to help her chase down the elusive reading material, “Here bookie bookie...come on bookie...come to papa...”

******

Giles took Willow’s scruff in his mouth, growling as he moved faster inside her. He was rapidly approaching his climax, but he didn’t want it to end. The feeling of pure animal passion was overwhelming...and he wanted more. “Willow,” he gasped, releasing the scruff, and licking her ear, “I don’t want this to end.”

Willow rolled over on her back and faced her lover. His large yellow eyes sparkled. She studied his features closely, trying to remember what it was that was different about him...but couldn’t. His brownish-black fur was beginning to gray around the muzzle, but he was still as handsome as ever. She leaned up and licked his face gently, nuzzling against it. “I don’t want it to end either,” she whispered in his ear.

Giles sniffed her fur, following the trail of pheromones down to her sex. He parted her legs, and rub his nose against her moist flesh. She smelled so good...so ready for him. he wondered if she tasted as good. He flicked his tongue out, touching her throbbing clit. When she jumped slightly, and began to purr, Giles knew he was on to something.

He began to lap at her opening, getting great pleasure from hearing her moans, and seeing her chest heave from her panting. As he twirled his tongue around her nub, he reached down and began to stoke his softening penis. Willow’s body arched, and stiffened as she came in his mouth...and Giles lapped at her juices greedily, until there was nothing left to lick.

He then turned her over again, and inserted himself inside her. This time, he slowed his pace down considerably, trying to keep the feeling from fading. He rubbed his head against her body, marking her with his scent, while he thrust in and out. Everything seem so right.

He was her Tom, and she was his Queen...

But wasn’t there ever a time they were something else?

If he could remember, he choice not to...only wanting to remember the great pleasure he was feeling at the moment.

******

“Okay,” Tara gave the instructions to Xander as they both had the book cornered, “On the count of three...one...two...THREE!”

They both dove onto the book, pinning it to the floor. Xander was surprised that it continued to fight them, bucking, twisting, and doing everything in it’s power to escape its captors. But finally, like any exhausted prey...it gave up, resigning itself to be handled.

“Did you just have visions of Horse Wrangling?” Xander exhaled, releasing his grip slightly, allowing Tara to take hold of the book.

The young Witch slowly opened the leather cover and was about to turn the pages, when the book slammed shut. “Not again,” she sighed, thinking of a new approach, “I know you want to show your new masters these spells,” Tara tried to soothe the book, “And I know you don’t want to hurt them...but...this spell...it’s...um, hurting them.”

Xander listened to the loud moans coming from the bathroom and gave a cock eyed glance to Tara, “Well, I don’t think....” then realizing what she was doing, he added, “Oh, yeah...right. It is...it really is.” Then he whispered in her ear, “Are you sure this spell isn’t just temporary? You know...sex kittens for a night?”

Tara shook her head, “If it’s a transformation spell,” she said, both to Xander and the book, “the effects will be permanent until the spell is broken. And I need to know how to break the spell.” She now looked at the book, “Please...help us.”

The book lay closed for several minutes before finally decided to open. Xander watched as the pages began to turn at a furious pace, until settling on the spell of choice.

“Animalis?” He cocked his head, “Figures.” Then turning to Tara, he asked, “Can you reverse it?”

Tara nodded, reading the contents of the spell, “Yeah, I think I can.”

******

Their bodies intertwined, as their passions grew. Giles could no longer hold back, feeling the need to release increasing with every passing moment. He drove himself deeper inside her, biting hard on Willow’s scruff. She cried out, as her intense pleasure mixed with pain. She felt herself being lost in the moment, her body stiffening as a powerful wave rocked her small body.

Giles shuddered when he felt her walls clamp down on him, as the orgasm swept through her. Increasing his speed to a furious pace, he pumped harder, bringing himself over the edge. He gave a long, deep growl, griping onto Willow tightly as he came.

But then something strange happened, and their worlds turned upside down.

Giles remained inside her, clutching her to him, as though he was protecting her from the onslaught of images and feelings that swirled inside them. Millions of years of forgotten memories, experiences and love washed over them, bathing them in its glory. For a brief moment they became every living thing that passed before them...and it was wonderful.

So much passion.

So much love.

All of it...theirs.

When the wave finally passed, they laid together in each other’s arms, flesh against flesh.

Human, against human.

******

“Did it work?” Xander asked, as the bathroom door opened. He saw a slightly disheveled Giles exit wearing only his long cotton robe, followed by Willow in a white bath towel. “I guess so,” he stared with a mixture of horror and morbid curiosity.

“Xander...” Giles began.

“Tara,” Willow finished, “what are you guys doing here?”

“Saving your furry butts,” Xander couldn’t resisted.

“Furry?” Giles tilted her head, “I don’t...wait...what just happened?”

“You don’t remember?” Tara asked, closing the book.

Willow shook her head and looked at Giles, “All I remember was casting this spell and...did it work?”

Xander nodded, “Oh, you could say that.”

“You were transformed into...cats...I think,” Tara surmised.

“At least from the sounds that were coming from the bathroom,” Xander smiled mischievously, “So...what do cats do after sex...smoke some nip.”

“Xander?!” Giles scolded.

“Xander I-I can explain,” Willow stuttered.

“Explain?” her friend shook his head, “if I gave you a million dollars, I don’t think you could adequately explain this.” Seeing the hurt look on his friend’s face, he amended, “Not that I’m against it. You and Giles...and Tara...” turning to Giles he smiled, “Why do you get all the luck?”

“So you’re not freaked?”

“Wills,” he walked over to her, “right now I’m too stunned to be freaked. Give it a day or two. Then I will have the full blown wiggens. I take it, Buffy doesn’t know about you and Giles... ‘cause...the world hasn’t exploded.”

“No she doesn’t,” she had a look of panic on her face, “And...please don’t say anything...not yet...I’ll tell her...I just have to think of how.”

Xander walked over to the door, “I would suggest when you do tell her,” he grinned, “that you have some kind of protection spell.”

The door closed quietly behind him, leaving Tara, Willow and Giles alone. “W-well,” Tara lowered her eyes, “I-I should go. You guys probably want to be alone...”

“Tara,” Willow smiled, taking her hand, “thanks for helping. I’m not sure what happened...but...”

“It was a very powerful spell,” Tara said.

“It’s a very powerful book,” Willow agreed.

“One in which,” Giles picked up the book, “We should avoid casting from.”

“The book’s not evil,” Tara explained, touching the book, and feeling its warmth, “I just don’t think it realized it could hurt you.”

Willow saw how the book glowed under her friend’s touch, “I think it likes you,” she smiled.

Tara smiled shyly, “It’s just reacting to me being a witch...T-that’s all.”

“Maybe,” Willow took her hand, pulling Tara close to her and Giles, “And maybe it wants you to cast some spells too.”

“You think so?” she smiled back.

Willow took Giles’ hand, “I do.”

As the they headed up stairs, Tara stopped when she noticed the two tails intertwined coming from underneath their coverings, “Um, guys?”
